ford 1715
Looking at a ck2610 manual transmission. Trying to find out how the pto works. I have a ford 1715 with a single stage clutch that when you push the clutch in it stops the pto and movement. Need to put transmission in neutral, let out clutch to bring pto speed then put in gear to go. Think the ck2610 has a two stage clutch. Anyone used one for mowing? Thanks

The CK2610 does have a dual clutch or two stage clutch. Meaning the first half of the clutch pedal travel is for the transmission gears and if you push further for the 2nd half of the travel, it's for the PTO.

Also, on a single stage clutch, you can engage the PTO and put it in gear all at once and then raise the RPM. No need to slip the clutch at high RPMs.

Thanks ptsg, trying to decide if I want to go hydrostatic or gear driven. I have a 55hp hydrostatic with a cab but need a small tractor to fit under the trees when mowing and to take in the woods. Its time to retire the 1715
