Talked to my buddy in the KY today. I suppose many of you you have put your bikes up for the winter. Sorry to hear about that. It's 80º here today. Just got back from a ride
Actually summer gets too hot to ride now is when we get our best riding weather.

Just thought I would ask. I ride a Yamaha Stratoliner.

I used to. Bought a new 1970 Honda 750, then a '74 Kaw 900, then an '84 Honda V65 Magna, then a '78 (used) Sportster, then a new '88 Harley Heritage.

In 2010 I was 60, and was getting increasingly nervous about being in a crash (I survived two in the '70s). Had major neck surgery in 2011, prostate cancer in 2012, and that really made me think about life.

The last time I rode the Harley was in 2012 after cancer surgery. I bought a Corvette in 2014 and sold the Harley in 2015. No regrets though, had tons of fun on bikes. Still have the Vette.

Glancing at the Comments, interesting to see more than one new-rider, who started @ at what most would consider to be an Advanced Age.

Kind of hard to ride your snowmobile at those temps.

The Crazyfornia gummint itself should have a warning label. All the legislators should have that warning tattooed on their face as well. Maybe in mirror image, so they can read it in the mirror whilst admiring their pretty faces!

Wow! Congratulations! Got a friend with a CRF300 that's about a year old now. He loves it.

1st ride. I'm happy. It's a very confidence inspiring bike. Super compliant, very nice clutch. Smooth throttle. I have no complaints.
I don't know yet what I will do with the XT.

I have a 24 CRF 300L . Nice bike and the motor feels way better and torquey than the CRF250L I had a few years back.

Run that thing up to Anza and let me know how it handles. I've been looking into getting the same bike.

Well I've already found what everybody says. If you ride it hard or fast the suspension is too soft and gets to bouncing. It is a good motorcycle but there sure are a lot of people upgrading the suspension on you tube. I am guilty of watching too much you tube. I think it depends upon how you ride.
Suspension is okay for light riding. If you want to race or you should have gotten a 450R then those riders will want upgrades.

La Quinta born a raised. Used to ride my Suzuki Bandit back and forth to Miramar every weekend. Now I'm retired and in Fresno or North Idaho.

La Quinta, where every boy grows up on a motorcycle. I started riding dirt in the high desert. Lived 20 yrs in JT. Speaking of riding Anza there is some beautiful riding up there and into Idyllwild on Mt San Jacinto.
I rode 50 miles of mostly dirt today. Came home and ordered some better tires for the new bike. Stock tires are street bias. I ordered a classic combo D606 rear and MT21 front. Loved this combo on my Yamaha
