Pump diesel cash price in middle TN. area is 3.299. Why do you think over $1.00 gallon difference?

There’s a couple reasons.

1. PA is one of just a few states that fund their State Police through the fuel tax. That is a very expensive tax burden and they are paid for through fuel tax.
2. PA is a state with a LOT of infrastructure. A lot of railroads, roads, bridges, tunnels, etc.

Yep, people ***** and complain about roads and other infrastructure when they are in bad shape, but don't want to pay for maintaining them, they think it should be free.

There isn’t enough money in the world to fix Pennsylvanias infrastructure. It’s 3rd world junk.
All the industrial base left for China 20+ years ago and it’s all decaying into the dirt. Steel mills being imploded, RR tracks abandoned, ship docks falling into the water, chemical and paper plants closed & decaying.

Now PA’s largest employers are University of Pittsburg, state gubmit, and health care companies.

PA was once an industrial power house. Now we are nothing but a paper tiger.

The problem seems to be that in the states with the highest taxes have the worst roads.

Can I put some red diesel in my truck to make up for filling potholes myself?

Somebody real heavy must have stepped on that boot grip. No LE around here would know the difference between red and road diesel. I tend to keep it straight up just because of where I fill up for each.

.
(y) health care everything popping up all over. Makes me believe we will be paying for “health care for all” no matter how we vote.

The issue isn't whether the air should be clean. It's whether brainless extremists should be allowed to force half-baked, disastrous pollution-control measures on us way before the technology is ready. This is what they do, over and over.

Are we not already doing that?

DEF seems like a replay of the idiotic curly Gore light bulbs. They take 90 seconds to turn on, they last 6 months, and they're full of mercury. I think everyone in his right mind prefers a healthy environment, but being a moron zealot is not the solution.
