Outside chores done E muffin time.
Bear cub Butterball got some learning this morning,took box rags scooting out the door as I said drop it Butterball view was hamper due to box almost covering face ran into stack wood sat the cub on the rear,Butterball stare at the wood as to say WTF,than walk over to mom and laid down.
Plains for today...take backpack blower on hike,rider mower blow chop leaves into the woods before the wind increase the afternoon,town for critter food,maybe watch NFL.

good morning, 57 going to 64 not as cold but with a light rain and thunderstorm in the FC

Fired up the wood stove yesterday. The first fire of the season always feels good.The mini split heat backed off as it came up to full temperature

Managed to do a bit more mowing and very little left now to finish when the rain goes away

Wife had a lot pain saying even her nails and hair was hurting. Made her as comfortable as I could elevating the chair and starting the massage and heat functions

Not sure of todays agenda

need to go to drug store when it opens, need simethicone for preprep tomorrow, so I guess I don't turn into

today last day of food, trying to be careful to avoid fresh fruit/veggies, etc.
been taking a dulcolax daily, hoping not to have an event in the middle of church today. Not good timing on my part
but no choice.

App says 57° here at camp. Eggs have been grilled and consumed, with some extras done for tomorrow when it should be wetter.
Couple good showers woke me up over night. Wind hasn’t gotten to having to take in the awning yet.
Bird just came to check on scraps under the blackstone.

Ron, beautiful tree. I sure wish they could hold that color for a bit longer in the fall, like the beech trees do.

Yesterday was another early hike/swim day to get Della exercised since we went back to the Folk Festival for most of the day and evening...more good music...blues, reggae, Hawaiian, R&B, and Hopi.

Hope you had a good hike and swim. I was going to ask, have you thought about getting Della snake trained?

Morning all, 60 to 61 and cloudy.
Yesterdays light rain lasted most of the day but we went to Peddlars village with the dog for their version of Octoberfest and it was the most crowded I've ever seen it. Multiple Ooopah bands, 2 food tents plus trucks.

Then we went home to chill and later out to the local haunted event place. Working farm about 200 acres that converts to haunted mansion, haunted hay ride, corn maze etc.
We did the mansion and they have doubled it in size with kids dressed up and acting in most rooms. Lots of kids, and they all did great staying in character. fun.
Then the hay ride, using older tractors kept running on the farm.
Lots of jump scares, chainsaws and it's takes a while to do the whole ride.
They have huge bonfires and we hung out there for a while.
Been going on/off since the kid was small, quick drive from our house.

Got the Halloween decorations up and sorted to put out this week.

So a busy day all around.

with the rain the fix up for the splitter so I can tractor the rounds over will be delayed.

Since my retinal detachment surgery in late August, I've slacking on most projects out here that need depth perception. The SIL kept promising to help, but I finally got the firewood split and refilled, and the kindling busted/cut up. My wood stash in inside the pole barn, but I needed to get it split and stacked. Got it done w/o losing any fingers - took my time. Feels good to be ready (mostly) for winter. There's another rack with year old wood around the corner, so I wasn't out of wood, but only had half my racks ready.
