Thinking about selling dump truck and buying dump trailer

Diamond C does.

They also have gas powered units but they are still slow, like 2 gpm flow. Also, they use manual controls, not cool standing under the gooseneck while in operation. They need to build them with remote controls.

D/C makes a 30k gvw but only 20'. I have not seen one 25'.

My current dump truck is only 12’, so 16’ would be an improvement for me.
I couldn't get on their website yesterday. It was down.

You specified 25', now even 16' is acceptable, make up your mind...

You won't like D/C's prices for a 30k...

It's too bad your on the east coast. I need a dump truck to haul some gravel.

Can't answer for him, but around here (N FLa) lease truck is gonna run $150-200/hour. If hes paying for the gravel, and your paying him, hes going to mark that up atleast 18% over the mines price; plus truck rate; plus profit. So, figure 60 minutes each way, some time on your site; call it 2.5 hoursx150; plus $17/ton; plus 18% mark up; plus 18% profit;

$375 trucking; $240 in material, mark up, profit; $615. Funny part is, thats $615 for 10 tons or maybe $815 for 18 tons with a full sized truck. Thats why a 10T truck isnt really efficient for bulk material delivery. What it does do, is allow you to haul your own small amounts, for contracted work, on your schedule.

I dont speak for the OP, but im guessing if he has a job that requires 80-120 Tons of material delivery, even owning a truck, its more cost effective to hire than, mark their price up, and make the money on spread/finish

I want to know the price of the truck.

I need gravel at my cabin and nobody has the balls to take their truck on the road in. I will have to do it myself. I don't want a heavy ass dump trailer that has little capacity with gravel. I need to make each load count.

I'd be surprised if that's not an option.

Actually, I was surprised when seeing that my flatbed came with a wireless remote for the jacks and the tail. It wasn't something I had picked as an option.

Snobdds, Can't you just rent a dump truck for what you need to get done? Rent it and drive it yourself. A good weekend project.

Some sample rental dump truck rates. Worth confirming if that F750 is a 25,999 or a 33,000# truck, if you dont have CDL.

What the hell are you talking about? Where did I “specify” 25’ trailer?
I said I’m buying a tandem axle 25’ trusk for hay and logs.

Don’t tell me to “make up my mind” you condescending @hole.

“But- I’m replacing the dump truck with a dump trailer mainly because I’m intending to buy a tandem axle 25’ flatbed dump for hay and possibly logs.
So although I’d be losing a 6 wheel dump truck, I’d be acquiring a 10 wheel flatbed truck.”

Maybe. That’s not the only brand in the world, either.

This sounds like you are looking to buy a 25' dump trailer.

Something (dump trailers) you have started about 5 threads on, yet you are still looking.

Like I said, make up your mind, Rambo...

Love my dump truck. Took me a year to find one like it, but I’m thinking about replacing it with a dump trailer.

I am buying a tandem axle 25’ flatbed dump truck and I’m out of room to store 2 large trucks.

Your original post heading referenced a dump trailer. So, I guess I missed mention of a truck in your ramblings. I see you clarified flatbed dump to include "truck" (edited yesterday) Lol

Carry on.

That's a fine trailer but the price is off the charts.

20'x30k gvw is $56k MSRP, no options, not even a spare.

The Honda gas powered option with telescopic cylinder is a $11k extra.

“Ramblings”, huh troll?

I did that so ignoramuses who lack comprehension skills from Snowflake, AZ could figure it out.

Carry on.

Carrying a LOT more than you, trust me.

So I own 3 trailers right now, so I guess when you have 3 trailers, you tend to ask questions about them.

And like you don’t talk trailers out the wazoo?

If all you want to do is talk sh*t on my thread and cause trouble, why don’t you troll somewhere else?

Found a trailer with 10 ton payload capacity. Never heard of the brand. I’d doubt it has a 3” coupler, but I’m sure one could be built with a 3” coupler.

Id rather have duel tandems in that weight class. 17.5s are great. I have them on 3 of my trailers but they get stuck bad.

I'm sure this is totally out of the ballpark of what you want for your operation. But I thought of you when I saw the posting. 6X6 dump truck for cheap! My brother in law bought a flatbed 5 ton 6x6 from him several years ago.
