Backup camera for tractor

Greetings,

Anyone bought a 2 camera system with monitor for their tractor?

I was looking at a wireless, solar camera system that they use for RV's but want one with Android carplay so I can display my tractor telematics from my phone on the monitor as well. Can't seem to find one with the Android feature. I have found dash cams attached to the monitor that have Android carplay but I want to put the front facing camera somewhere so I can see the FEL pallet forks clearly.

Before you commit to buy a particular system, check that the monitor brightness is sufficient for your application. Especially important on open platform tractors as the sun seems to wash out the display.

I put one on the Bobcat SS. Actually 2 cameras with different views and one monitor with a toggle switch to flip between views. It wasn't hard to install. Just needed to find a key switch power source and a ground. It works great. Rear visibility is almost nonexistent in a SS. One camera sees far and the other sees a wide angle closeup. Very handy. I can now back down the barn center isle if needed. Amazon has a wide selection of RV backup cameras that will do. Buy the best quality picture you can afford.

I've found that it's difficult to mount one or even two cameras on a tractor that will show what you need for all types of work. Powering the cameras is also tricky if you want to avoid running wires. Solar is an option but not for heavily shaded areas or at night. I solved these problems by making my own portable camera system.

I took my existing 2 camera wireless system and modified it to use cordless tool batteries. I added strong magnets so the cameras and monitor could be placed almost anywhere. It's sometimes better to put the camera on or near the work, rather than on the tractor.

This idea will work for most camera systems using an adapter for the brand of cordless tool batteries you use.
I don't always need the cameras, so the magnetic mounts are temporary. Most of the time, the system is in a case behind the tractor seat and deployed when necessary.

Not exactly. It's been many years since I purchased the system but searching TFT back up cameras on Amazon brought up something similar here > Amazon.com
The system I bought was around $100 and had only one camera. (best quality picture I could find) I later added a second wide angle hi-resolution camera. I have spent a fair amount of time in a SS in construction and this feature is a game changer.

I bought this 4 camera system 9https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF7JP228?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title )and installed it in my skid steer. I used 3 of the 4 cameras on the rear. No car play, just blue tooth. It was a tight fit in the cab. I used a tackform mount.

I installed wireless backup camera a few years ago. Didn't work good-too much interference. Replaced it with wired camera and now works fine.

Quality is everything. Buy the highest resolution screen and cameras you can find.
