Fire extinguisher on tractor

Big thing is to not be like most people, me included, mount it and forget it or ever check it beyond walking by it. I have had two, one in the house and one in the garage, that the gauge was showing proper pressure but when tried to use them nothing came out. The powder had apparently packed or solidified to the point nothing would come out. Don't know if it helps but I now at least try to flip em', shake em' a little every now and again.

@Redbug I like your chain storage tube. While admiring it (and wanting to copy your design) I noticed the whistle.

Once a year, inverter your dry chemical extinguisher and thump the bottom with a rubber mallet if hung in building. Need to be done way more often on a moving vehicle that will cause settling and packing! YMMV.

I welded up chain tubes on both sides. Different lengths. One chain has hooks that will slide and tighten up. Good for tree limbs.The bottoms of the tubes have openings since mud and debris can drop out. The whistle is good to get attention... like having a horn.

A 1.5kg (3.3 lbs) in about the easiest to reach/least inconvenient place I could think of. Accessible from either side door too. If the chain bucket weren't there, that would have been OK, but I didn't want to drill mounting holes in the cabin frame either. (And getting into and out of the cabin is a PITA from the right hand side. Too many things to stick into you. )

It's been an ornament so far - hope it stays that way!
