Tesla now has Grok Ai. Simply long push the voice command button on the steering wheel to access. Tried it yesterday when dumbass Siri gave the wrong answer twice and bingo. I got the right answer. This is the first car I've ever owned that got more features as it aged. Love the Auto updates...

At the dealer getting a replacement key programmed. $717.69 for the key and programming...

(Porsche)

If I needed a replacement key for mine I can get one at Lowes for less than $5.
But I never lock the door on mine.
Must be the local dialect up there but down here we call it a porch. It does sound a heap fancier the way you say it.

I bought a Yamaha bike with 1 key...Looking for a replacement seems the dealer charges $150-200 and ebay $10-20 with ignition id #. Problem is you have to remove the ignition to find a code. So that's what I will be doing.

Ya, stupid ford wanted $250 for a programmed key for my F150. Yet i had an emergency hide a key made for $9 at Ace hardware (non programmed).

Ford manual tells how a owner can program their own key, as long as they have 2 original programed keys, in less than 5 minutes by placing blank program key in certain section of center console.

Im sure the electronics in the keyfob cost about $10 at most.

What a money grab.

I didnt fall for it. Have a hide a key to open door if i get key locked in cab. I also have ford app that will unlock and start car from phone.

Ford app it pretty handy.... I can start my work van from home on cold mornings and when I arrive 12 minutes later, it's nice and toasty. Don't need it in summer because I park in shade overnight.

I'm assuming yours is much older, and doesn't need to be programmed.

And BTW, the price I mentioned was only for the "key" (metal part) and "transmitter" (electronic, head/fob of said key). They charged me an additional $275 to program it... So all in $1k.

Yes, but. You still need the physical key/fob to drive away. I've tried it...

My wife's Kia has a smart card (same size/shape as a credit card) that can be used to lock/unlock the doors as well as start and drive away. I have one in my wallet - just in case.

Kids steal kias with a usb stick……i miss the good old days. A $2.00 key.

God forbid you have to insert a key instead of pushing a button

Almost bought a new corded 7 1/4" skill saw after getting obliterated with sawdust cuz the mag blade guard cracked and part of it broke off recently. Nah, I thought decks still pretty straight and it cuts true it's one of Milwaukee tools first tilt lok designs 20 yrs old I believe? Painters masking tape apparently has a multitude of uses and stopped the outpouring of sawdust. Wear safety glasses lol.

Why not use Batteries+ for replacement key fobs, or AlfaOBD to program them yourself?
Well, how about - I didn't know of either/both options. And, it's a bit late now...

Update: I just checked Batteries Plus and they don't list Porsche. My guess is that the tech is too locked down.

Bought a DIY motorcycle tire changer Amazon.com: TUFFIOM 16-21 Inch Tire Changing Stand, Off-Road VehicleMotorcycleDirt Bike Stand Tire Changing Bead Remover, Tire Changing Repair Kit : Automotive a bench top cheapie and I'm the changer it's just a bead breaker and a stand for the grunt work. :p It did have one issue. The threading of the axle increased the diameter so I had to sand off some of the thread to get it to fit the hubs. Not ideal, but not a big deal for me.
Figured I could put legs on it later if I wanted but surprisingly it's not too bad on a table. At my age I tend to try to finesse things more than force.

Had my trailer dealer service department add 2 pin-on sidewinder jacks to the rear and 2 stake pockets with slide-in d-rings to the front of my Big Tex 16' 70PI trailer. The rear was squatting down when loading my NH Workmaster 25 putting pressure on the hitch. The front d-rings makes it easy to tie down the front end with 2 straps that also cross over loader.

Bought a 6 x 10 dump trailer with fold down sides.
Pictures or it didn’t happen 😬, A dump trailer is something I’ve wanted for quite a while, but like everything it’s more money than I’m willing to part with. My RTV has a hydraulic dump bed but with the sides I’ve added to the bed the front end gets light with a full load.
