what size tractor are you planning to use it on?

If your use is actually digging stumps or trees I think your going to be disappointed. They work great but need a heavy machine. I use one on a large skidsteer and they are amazing. The same one on my Kubota L6060 doesn't work well because it's just not heavy or strong enough.

Yep, I had one. They are awful hard on a tractor/loader. I actually broke my quick attach, luckily the welds looked like bad penetration so they covered it under warranty. Sold the stump bucket. If you have trees to get out rent a mini ex.

Folks on YouTube make it look easy.

It's not easy on the tractor FIL and takes about 2 hours OR longer that you think it will.

It mostly depends on the type and size of the stump. I have a 40hp and will no longer try to remove any stump over 12/14" dia.

I've been contemplating buying one for my T293, for digging out bushel basket sized rocks. Figure that If the tractor really doesn't like it, I can rent a skid steer and use it on that.

Like someone already mentioned just rent a mini-x and get the work done those little compact tractors are nice for a lot of task but digging stumps with the loader isn’t one of them.

Stumps are amazing hard to remove, even with a mini ex.

Wow! 12-14" seems big to me. I removed a good handful around 8-10" and even that was a serious PITA.

I think digging out rocks close to the surface would be a HECK of a lot easier than stumps. Rocks don't have roots.

This is one I dug out with the stump bucket.

This one was a PITA even with a large trackloader. This was a brother in law project. I showed up sight unseen. He told me it was decent size but thought it was mostly rotted.

Yeah I am sure with a skid steer 12-14" wouldn't be as bad. But that is a lot for a compact tractor.

I have a Case TV620B. Weighs in at 16,800 so a 12"-14" only takes a couple minutes. On a tractor it's a lot of work and very hard on the FEL.

What about digging holes for planting trees?
Mine has been used to plant close to 100 trees between mine and my neighbors. It's a lot easier with 2 people. It's hard to see where you are digging. Especially if you don't have your seat safety switch disabled. Standing up it's doable

The only reason I miss mine is to dig small holes. It could even do a decent job at making shallow trenches.
