Good evening all. 74ºF for the start, partly cloudy, light breeze. Light to moderate wind, sky developed some clouds, and high temp was 93ºF, HI 98ºF. Made coffee to start day, Men's meeting, took trimmer for walk, ran out of string. Yes, a smart guy. I like him a lot, very interesting to listen to some of his technical discussions.

My wife said she watched someone do 30 pushups, and asked if I could do that. I said sure, I could watch someone do 60.
Ahhhh, the memories 😁

Coffee is cooling in cup. 61° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 84° with some clearing. PT seems to be getting harder every visit. Pain is slowly getting less. Went to first DQ visit of the year. Rest of the day was spent conserving energy. Grocery shopping in morning. Then will do a couple of small projects in shop.

Good Morning,
Ct, 63 to start going to 78. Supposed to be sunny today, yesterday wasn’t.

Looks like work today, so I have some cash for more radio toys 😉
Yes Drew, having a great time thanks 😃

I rotated the tires on my truck yesterday, wow what happened ? I can hardly lift those tires to get them back on the studs 😂
Good thing I only do this every 10K miles.

Hope work goes well , have a great day 🙏

good morning all
should be another nice warm summer day here, would be nicer if air was cleaner.
headed downtown to UPS to return some spark plugs.
Ordered NGK BPR5ES (the "honda plug") to replace the one Popgadget gave me for my rv gen.
box comes in, looks suspicious, plain brown wrapper...and the plugs were well marked as to that
part number. BUT NGK was not printed on the plugs. Chinese fakes. They sent me discontinued version
that was actually a more expensive plug, but if I don't know if it's genuine NGK, forget it.
plugs are only four bucks, why try to save one dollar????

so back the plugs go and this time I made sure the ad showed them in proper NGK containers, not loose in a
brown box.

my first exwife, who lives a mile away, is coming over later to pick some tomatoes.
her husband of 30 years is on year 14 of a ten year cancer and pretty sure times aren't good there right now.
Poor guy goes down to Philadelphia once a year to live in a bubble for two weeks getting experimental drugs.

New Hope auto show this weekend, and the weather is going to be good. Huge event for this area, but I don't think as big
as it used to be. I'm going to have to pass this year, can't handle all the walking. My retired accountant brother is working the show,
he's the finance guy and watches over all the cash, has done this almost 40 years since car show started.
My nephew, the wealth manager, brings a tent and has about five cars on display. Older not expensive ferraris, he is really buying
cars for investment, not bragging rights. His old Aston Martin Lagonda is likely a mechanic's nightmare. I think he has a 930 turbo, an
older BMW coupe. Had to build a new three car garage to get the cars out of his barn. I bet he has to build another garage, he's still young...

about fifteen years ago, my nephew and I passed the CFP exam the same day.
He went on to the most lucrative part of the business, managing money in an affluent area, and I went on to the lowest
paying part of it, not managing portfolios but rather doing all the financial planning for mostly Quaker clients, with their knowing I had no axe
to grind. I don't regret the career choice, but not much fun being older and having what is not unusual money concerns. At least I know how to manage what I have. I've had it really good for a long time, got to own the farm I dreamed about, so no complaints if I have to tighten my buckle a little now.

61 deg
we got a surprise .12" rain last evening, wasn't calling for any.
My truck tires get rotated every time I drive it.
yesterday was a breakfast meeting, then I just kind of chilled all afternoon, and taught a class last night.
Not much else to report, up early for me.

Good morning TBN!!!
Only .01 in the rain gauge this morning. Not gonna need the umbrella today but not the sunglasses either. Should get to the mid to upper 70s.

Managed to get a dog walk in. yesterday. He has a lot of pent up energy after being cooped up for 4 or 5 days.
A faucet for the bathroom in the garage came in. Wanted one so I could get hot water through the house. Bought a cheap one with a sprayer when I built it and regretted the choice ever since.
Not much else. Cleaned and sorted. Never ending job.
R&R for the rest of the day.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!!

I rotate mine once a year, summers off, winters on, then it's winters off and summers on. The winters are directional and the best or better looking one goes on the front. The summers the best pair go to the front.

nice downtown Arly
love the hanging flowers
seems to be a Michigan thing
fond memory of driving through Petoskey and marveling at all
the hanging flower pots
a visual treat for a gardener

good morning, 64 going to 81 sunny conditions

Greased driveshafts on the zero turn and changed oil on the truck

Helped wife as much as possible. Good news is she is feeling better today. Hope it will last a spell

Did a few drug tests back when working for job site random tests
Usually a pretty large group of people so it took a while

On tires I did a lot of that back when working as mechanic and being the youngest on the team truck and agricultural tires usually were given to me. Did not like it and still don't so when it comes up I usually use a shop in town Rice Tires

The ramp that I used to drive the truck up on failed. Don't think I will use that one any more

guys rotating tires are often pretty rough on them
get them back with greasy fingerprints and abused lug nuts.
lot better if you can do it yourself.
I think more important for some cars/trucks than others.
perhaps living in Kansas on super flat roads is different than living in hills
of East.

a Rhino ramp failed Frits?
not good, even if heavy truck.
wonder if age/plastic fatigue, inadequate internal bracing

if you live in the snow/rust/salt belt, good to make sure all parts get moved around, cleaned out
and maybe lubed with some never seize. You do that yourself, guy at shop likely won't. They'll slap
dirty back on dirty.

Here is what AI say about that:

No, anti-seize compound is generally not recommended for use on wheel bolts (also known as lug nuts). While anti-seize can prevent corrosion and make nuts easier to remove in the future, it can also interfere with proper torque and potentially lead to loose or over-torqued bolts

Good Morning
67° and sunny, high of 80 with continued clear skies

Just sent two people for random drug/alcohol tests this week. Lucky for me, i wasn’t one of them.

Yesterday just kind of kept me occupied, I don’t recall any real accomplishments.

Here is a couple of pictures from the RC club, a B25 taking off to drop a load of paratroopers.

We might be a batch of old guys, but we are all kids at heart.

Today starts with a trip to my PCP for a checkup. I get my FAA physicals every 6 months, but my PCP still wants to see me at least once a year.
After that, I want to pull the driveshaft off the 90” landpride mower and grease the u-joints and lube the quick connectors and sliding tube. That’s the task I forgot to do when I greased the mower the other week.

Looks like there is some mowing to be done after that, not sure how muck I’ll get to, or what else pops up.
This evening is meeting at the RC field, I’ll get there early to do some flying. Big item on the agenda is the purchase of a new Zero turn mower. It will put a hurting on our “rainy day fund”, I’m going to suggest that we accept voluntary donations from the members. Curious how that will go.

Morning all, 67 going to 81 and smoky, hazy, though WU says I am hallucinating that the air is orange.

Bought a real (light) set of forks for the Massey finally.
Need to move a lot of wood out of the back area. the thumb on the Back hoe is great for larger stuff, but I need to pile on many large branches and won't be doing that one at a time.

Where I powdered the 3rd Yellow jacket nest , it's not where they are nesting it seems. Still have the pine in front of the gazebo covered in them...

The car show is this weekend, well I won't be driving in that direction, it's a zoo in New Hope. Wonder if my son is working in Town, we may need to drop him off as there will be no parking.

Another Zoom call with the college, 45 minutes of emotional support crap and 10 minutes of useful information. Very different from when I went to college, seems like I survived though.

Be well,
