I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

I remember a poster years ago by the name of Waxman as I recall. This thread reminds me of that. With a name like Waxman you can guess he was picky. As I recall he had some different tires swapped onto his Kubota rims. They scratched them up. That thread went around in circles also, people saying it was just a tractor and others saying they shouldn’t have scratched them.

It’s really up to the op what’s acceptable and what isn’t.

Often times, being a dick head will impact your pocketbook adversely.
You seem to still have plenty of money, judging by your posts

The way the OP writes, he reminds me of

Have you never in your life, returned something?

Why are you being so mean spirited and disparaging to the OP?

I saw this machine at the local landscaping yard while we’re talking about what a 20 year old machine looks like.

Damn. I’ve never seen a member here get so much nasty disrespect and Ill will from fellow forum members for returning something they bought.
Seems to have struck a nerve with equipment dealer affiliates…how many here?🤔

Probably using as a parts gopher?
Yup. Portland, OR is 1 1/2 hour west. Another of several chain dealerships 2 hours north not to mention customer pickup and drop offs. No end of uses that they didn't want to use a new rig or their used stock to run up miles.

Needless to say I promised I would never darken their doorstep again and haven't. But that is an emotional response and not to say that another dealership wouldn't do the same. I am now going to an independent shop in the same town and they are good as gold. When waiting they don't give a darn that I am watching or walking around the pickup (not being a jerk, just interested and the mechanic wasn't bothered in the least). We live in a farm/ranch area. I thing the mechanic has had cleaner clothes than when I go in there.

I think this is a case where both the dealer and the customer were well served by parting company.
