My tractor has a folding ROPS that is locked with two clevis pins, I've lost one of them. As far as I can tell they are 24mm diameter. I haven't been able to find a dealer who has a replacement. I tried using a 7/8" hitch pin, it was too small, and a 1" pin was too big. If they are 24mm then 15/16" would be 23.8mm and I think that would work. Length is about 4".

So far no luck in finding anything suitable. Any pointers?

Thanks.

If you come by, I can turn that 1 inch pin down to any size you need on the lathe. Not a simple task, as the commercial pins don't give much material to chuck up on. I bet you could live with a center hole for this application ;-)

24mm is a really odd size. Could they be 25mm which would be 0.98"? That's a common clevis pin diameter you can get from McMaster Carr or Misumi. I'd just turn one on the lathe out of 4140 if it's really 24mm.

get a replacement from the dealer.

The cost will be worth not having the hassle.

My folding ROPS uses the same size your machine has. And it has these McMaster clevis and pin setup.

It could be. A quick google tells me that 25mm pins are available. I'll order some and see.

I measured it, it's definitely 24mm.

Dealer recommended a 24mm bolt. I'd need to figure out a way to keep the nut from rattling off but still make it quick removal.

Honestly, if you have a hand grinder or a bench grinder, just shave a larger one down a bit. Take a few minutes. Wouldnt need a mill.

Or enlarge the hole to a standard size pin.

piece of 15/16 or 24 mm rod weld head on one end drill hole for hitch pin on the other or like stated a bolt depending on what you can find available.
