2017 Boomer 54D 3 point hitch stiff

The lever on my NH 54D that operates the 3 point hitch has gotten increasingly harder to move. Stiff as a board. No problem holding implements, just hard to move. Any thoughts?

Lubricate the linkage under the fender with spray on grease. I use motorcycle chain lube on the linkages under the fenders on my Kubota's. Motorcycle chain lube goes on thin and becomes thicker as the propellant evaporates.

Follow the 3 pt lever all the way down, till the pivot point and either spray some lube and work it a little bit to see if it helps, or adjust the lever tension on the friction discs.

Sorry to sound ignorant, but do I need to take the cover off to get to it? I have a cab, and the 3 point and PTO controls have a cover on them

Check if you can access it from the rear of the tractor, so you don't have to take all the cover apart. Not familiar with that exact tractor.

You have a cover in the cab but no cover on the linkage underneath. The linkage will always be exposed under the cab or fender.
