Decided I wanted to get back into a HST transmission Tractor. Went with a new TYM T474 HC…..

Had the dealer load the rear tires, add a plug-in block heater, and the 3rd function kit down the loader. Should make for a comfortable, year round work horse.

Who else has one of these or the 494/574?

Nice piece of equipment, congratulations!

I have the 574H. No cab because I live on a pine plantation. 75+ hours on it. No problems at all with the tractor. I've managed a few self-inflicted problems with my flail, though.

Just got done doing a quick mowing job along our paths. Rain is starting and we'll be in it for the next 4 days or so...just beat it.

Very nice new helper; there are a lot of T474's in my part of Maine so there must be something to them.

@TractorTYMe you have a T474 don't you?

I do, had it for 5 years now, working really well. 600h with no regen nor problems to speak of. Here it's doing its main purpose, pulling winter duties.

I don't think the tier IV TYM diesels ever regen. Pretty incredible when every other manufacturer does it between 35-50 hours.

If you work them like diesel engines are supposed to do, and do not idle for extensive periods and lumping along at low rpms. They seem to do passive regen just fine. Like when I do mowing with my 6' rotary mower for hours at 2400 rpms it just never need to do a requested regen.

I just leave it up around 2200-2400 rpm
