Can the hydraulic system get air locked after a fluid change

So at the end of the clutch mechanism, there is no housing to control valve operation on these?
Not on mine and in looking at diagram Len posted not on his either. On My Branson the swash plate is direct mechanical control by the forward and reverse pedals

So your range changes are adjusted pressure wise by the disengagement of the engine to the hst l see.
I’ve done it with valve control.

Len
It could be your clutch worn out and sorry if l screwed you up.

What do you mean by range changes? Shifting from hi to low on a 2 speed gear box being powered by the HST operation? If yes then simply let off the forward or reverse pedals so in neutral or not moving and change range since with HST in neutral their is no power to the range selector. Not sure why there would be valves unless unloading pilot pressure if HST is a pilot control type. I.e. put HST in neutral via valves.

Yes on some two range models.
Have to put these in neutral with 3 ranges on mine.
Stepping on clutch engages valves.

Exciting day.
1.One of my daughters ran out of heating oil so had to bleed her system. She lives an hour away
2.I potentially mislead the op with unrelated info.
3.I’m into March wood in the middle of February.
4.And my wife sneezed and did something to her hip replacement she got two weeks ago.

Not as a drive mechanism in the traditional sense. There are some hsts that do not have a clutch pedal. There really is no need for one except it is simply cheaper to incorporate one for fluid volume control on our tractors rather than using electronic solenoids, sensors and relays.
What the clutch pedal does on an hst is to control what some call an “inching valve”..This valve is what is controlling fluid volume for specific things such as range changes or pto control.
The plungers on these valves should be all the way in.
I made mention of this adjustment previously and would be the first thing l would look at.
This tractor is almost 20 years old.
It’s gonna need stuff and the second thing l would have addressed is the pump.
There are too many things within that pump that can be compromised within 20 years.
Nope. Our Kubota HST has a tradtional clutch dry foot clutch. It also has a multiplate PTO clutch. You can look both up on Messicks. But lets not get sidetracked on Kubotas. I'd rather we stick to Len's problem. Right now it would help to see a parts book for the Len's Kioti so we can see if his CK 25 HST really does have a traditional clutch. Since Kubota does, his could have too. And it could be bad.

What matters is we have several good old mechanics here and none of us were expecting a traditional clutch in a HST. So lets figure it out for the CK 25 so we can eliminate or account for it.
HAS ANYONE GOT A CK 25 PART BOOK?

It does have a dry clutch.
Pstg provided a part #.
Could very well be that.

I'm definitely going to keep these conversations for my mechanic when and if he comes. I'm sure your input will be helpful. Thanks
