L3700SU
I have a L3700 SU, manual says the 3ph can lift about 2k pounds. I have a camper that's in a tight spot for a pick up to get st.. weighs about 10k pounds.. it's on flat ground.. needs to move about 80 feet.. will the L3700 pull it ? ..I have a skid steer as well and I know that will lift and pull it.. but it's more work to load and move it,

It will handle that just fine. I move around a similar weight RV with my L4060 all the time, and it doesn't even grunt.

Easily.

Lift capacity should be fine at around 1500# (15% of gross weight), it will extend the hook up a few inch back vs on the trailer drawbar... more importantly you will most likely crank that trailer pretty hard to fit it in place (assumption) and that will put lots of lateral pressure on the 3 point links. I just think its a safer bet on the trailer drawbar. Also I don't know how you would fit a trailer ball hitch on a 3 point tractor drawbar as the holes are smaller then the ball bolt unless you simply use a chain ?

also when backing up with a 3 point there is nothing holding from lifting up... I know you said its flat ground but still not ideal.

i have a triangle thing that goes in my 3ph. Then the 2" shaft with the ball goes in that. ..So that's what I was thinking about using

ho I see, sorry, that would work just fine.

Is the drawbar on that tractor high enough and long enough to hook up to a travel trailer? I know my Branson it would be a problem to get the tongue of the trailer that low.

3 point is the only option I would have.

Im going to double check that. It may just be easier to bring the skid steer.. At least I know that will not be any problem.

You shouldn't have any problems, but the tongue weight of the trailer will be approx. 1,100#. That must be considered when contemplating using the 3-pt hitch. You don't want to be doing any wheelies.

Some check-chains would be a good safety option if using the 3pt. A sudden stop without them could damage the 3pt

The 3PH is rated at just shy of 1500 lbs at 24” from the lift pins according to Tractordata.com. That would put your 3PH at the roughly 15% of trailer total weight, it should be doable as tongue weight is typically between 10-15% of total trailer weight. If you think it may exceed this level, go to the tractor draw bar.
My concern with lifting close to max 3PH weight would be a very light front axle.

Why I keep Two tractors. Small Yanmar is mostly just used with a FM. mower. A old ford for the heavy lifting and pulling. It would handle that task with ease!

If it picks it up, then move it. Especially on flat ground for 80’ ! Needless to say terrain is key here. If the 3ph is stressed out, then you don’t want to be going downhill, while turning the trailer. Let common sense be your guide!

Down force or Tongue weight is the only thing that will keep the 3Pt. arms down on my Yanmar. You can get into a bad situation easy. Not all tractors are like that. Single axle trailer notorious! I've dumped this one serval times.

Thanks all, I ended up just bringing the skidsteer And it was a 5 minute job. It took longer to unload and re load the machine more than anything else.
