Main reason I went with the OFA Eko9's for my last one's just a bit less expensive and seem to be a very good chain. The EKO series doesn't always show up on the web sites, don't know why.I just priced Trygg SMT Flexi chains - front and rear for my Kubota M6040. Including tax and shipping - $2000 for the rear - - $1000 for the front. Now I just have to determine if I want to spend that much.
Yes - today. My "lawn" is not what everybody thinks of as lawn. It's meadow grass that has been mowed - like a real lawn - for over 40 years now. The meadow grass completely dies out in the late summer. It returns - green as ever - with the fall rains. It's just starting to - green up - right now.oosik, that pic is today?
did not realize it's that brown there. Course we are way warmer than normal for ;ike a month now
Even with chains on I only plow my driveway down hill. With chains on and horsing the heck out of her I can plow up but it is rougher on equipment. So far, I've only plowed once this winter...unusual for Northern PA.
In fact, haven't mounted the OFAs yet because of the limited snow. Nothing like living on the edge!
But may do it this week, though winter is half over (he says optimistically!)
With 3/4 of a mile mostly downhill to the road, I have to plow going down the hill and then drive back up raised when running without chains.
But with the OFAs, the tractor can pull a full plow up the hill, down the hill, and sideways if needed! It's unstoppable!
and swamp ass and sun burn. Sounds terrible. We're looking at palm trees...
I've had three snow "events" here. Two were an inch or less and melted the same day. The latest was three inches and melted the following day. Snow does not stand a chance with temps above freezing and rain.Oosik,
Gotcha, I was commenting on the lack of snow. We have about 8-10 on the ground here but less than normal. Had our first brown Xmas in 20 years- melted right before and snowed on the 26th.

I see. Maybe it will last longer than a couple days.Spokane news threatening snow this weekend.... even for me!
It did. Plowed driveway for the first time this winter, yes first time this winter.I see. Maybe it will last longer than a couple days.
