I was thinking about this post, and wondering what's the point of towing your motorcycle with the front wheel on the ground?

Seems a small utility trailer would be infinitely easier to back up, and also more visible through the rear window, as the current configuration has the bike so low they probably can't see it behind the vehicle. I can back a trailer around a slalom course, if I need to... but I have to be able to see the thing!

Also, having the front wheel of the bike on the ground like that means more wear and maintenance on the wheel bearings, the materials and tolerances of which were probably nowhere near as good as today.
