Is there a good video on how to change out the steering cylinder on my 425? I looked on you tube and couldn't find much. Or maybe some one can explain it to me simply?
I will have to look I can't send pics don't know how maybe you might have one to post on here?It can be done with the deck installed. Does your tractor have a triangular steering plate in the center and 2 shorter tie rods? If so it’s the earlier version. The later revision has a single long tie rod.

No it is not all wheel steer and I do not have a manual the serial # is missing there is some numbers on the radiator would that be the number I'm looking for? I don't believe it has a triangler plate it must be the newer model. All wheel steer? Do you have the service tech manual?
What is the serial number?
Here are the numbers I found on the radiator. TCD P/N 04-0034 JD P/N AM 121497 Mfg date 1-7-97No it is not all wheel steer and I do not have a manual the serial # is missing there is some numbers on the radiator would that be the number I'm looking for? Where is a good place to get one and not break the bank?
Well my cutting and welding abilities are not very good anymore I just want a good cyl to replace the old leaky one I'm tired of putting cardboard down on my garage floorThe Amazon ones actually work OK. The cylinder can be resealed as well, but it takes some pretty involved cutting and welding.
