My t400 when I put it in 3rd or 4th gear it bogs down like the brakes are on
It does in low medium and high range. And if I don’t have it in gear it seems like it is stuck in 2 nd hear. I hope this makes sense. I can’t figure out what’s wrong. It just started yesterday when I was clearing brush

Have you tried it with and without the 4WD engaged? Does it still do the same?

Yes sir I have And if I take out of gear completely like it should be in neutral it’s still like it’s in 2nd gear. If that makes sense

Assuming it does the same thing in first gear as well? My take is this. If in neutral it acts like it's in second gear, then it IS in second gear. So what happens when you actually put it in second gear? Or does it not feel like it will shift into second gear? I'm curious about the first gear result. The same fork and shift collar operate both first and second gears. If you can put it in first gear and the tractor doesn't lock up but still moves as if in second, there is a shift fork, rail, or shifter related problem. If it shifts into first and locks up as it does in third or fourth, then second gear is seized on the shaft it rides on. That could be a major repair dilemma.

Next question. Are you up for actually tearing into the transmission if that's what it comes to?

I didn’t try first. I will tomorrow for sure
As far as digging into the transmission that’s way out of my realm. I can do simple fixes

Question is what does the first, neutral, second gear shift feel like? Like normal, but it's always in second whether the shifter is in first or neutral?

Yes it will only move in second. 3rd and forth bog down like I’m standing on the brakes. I’m. It sure about first I’m trying that tomm to see what it does
