Hope the Sandman visit you last night Buppies.
Bupps, I got almost 6 hours last night, but still tired, we had church service at home.

I remember $100.oo/week clear money driving a dump truck. $0.499/ Imperial gallon for gas. 24 bottle box of beer for $2.50.

You may want to spend a few bucks and get some diagnostics done from a dealer before buying parts. Their factory scanners should pick up what may be amiss and then you can decide if you want to buy parts or let someone fix it for you
Concur 100%
Sometimes a stumble can be a vacuum leak, or a dirty mass flow sensor, or dirty intake system. Don't get me going, I don't like the recirculating exhaust gas crap that ruins an engine....

Watched college FB yesterday, some good games.

Watched the last 10-15 laps of the F1 races at Cota in Austin. No close, tight racing with only 1 pass attempt in the last 10 laps....so IMO....boring. Watched KC beat SF.

Changed daughter's car's passenger side motor mount. She has an oil leak, I believe the front crankshaft seal. Biggest hassle was putting the inner fender back on.

RockAuto, the hardest thing is trying to select all the parts you need, to all come from the same warehouse, otherwise the shipping gets pricier than Amazon. Their shopping cart is now helpful to tell you if something comes from warehouse A, B, or C or whatever.

Cleaned up the barn a bit. Just a bit, put away a few things. I could spend a week in there.

BEF, sucks about the remote start subscription, I'm reading it is $10/month, but with other services too? Would annoy me too.

Now son's rash has invited what we and nurse practitioner feel to be impetigo. He has an antibiotic ointment to put on it. It is contagious. Will need to keep it bandaged.

nice splitter.
getting locked in not good Drew... I would have a complaint about that.
Wngsprd, hope Mom will be ok.
Ken, nice decorations.
Buppies, sorry about wife..
Don, nice hay decorations.

We have a fly infestation in one room. Don't know how they get in. Windows always shut. It's driving the wife nuts, which in turn drives me nuts.......
In a 1 quart spray bottle (I use Spray 9 bottles because of the removable spray head) put 8 ounces of rubbing alcohol (Isopropanol alcohol 70% +) and 7 ounces of water. Add about one or two tablespoons of Dawn orange washing up soap. Give it a little shake and spray it directly on the flies. The soap messes with their wings and they cannot fly and the alcohol/water mixture rots through their exoskeleton and kills them within 2 minutes. If you use straight alcohol, it will evaporate before it has time to do the dirty.

If you were to go back into the depression days, up here in Toronto their were pharmacists driving truck for a meager living. The only reason my Granddad didn't drive truck was because he owned his store.

I once taught a guy with a grade 13 education to shift a 5X4. Looked at his application (which I wasn't supposed to see) saw he had his gr 13. I told him that if he could put up with 5 years of HS bovine scatterings that he could put up with one day to learn how to shift. He learned. He told me he had just gotten married and had a kid on the way. He REALLY needed the job. My response was then you REALLY need to pay attention. He did and 8 hours later he could shift my way as good as me. (Float the gears). Also taught him how to time the traffic lights. It is easier and more fuel efficient to keep a heavy mass rolling than it is to start from a dead stop.

Good evening all. 46ºF for the start, scattered clouds, light breeze. Light wind, scatted clouds, and high temp was 81ºF. Made coffee to start day, chapel setup, attend chapel, and help tear down chapel. Breakfast with group, the one of the guys wanted to help fix bike so I took bike to his shop, but the small diameter of broken bolt and repair attempt by first guy he was afraid to try much. I got half the remaining bolt out we talked more then I went home. Worked on cleaning ladies prep and load of laundry. Short nap then grilled brats for dinner.

good morning all
42 degrees in Chattanooga TN
fairly short drive today, no sense in leaving early, headed to Blountville
TN this afternoon. Name of campground is a good Tennessee name, Rocky Top Campground.

when my wife and I lived aboard our boat in S Florida, I became friends with another yacht broker working for Richard Merritt and we both had Bertram 46 Motoryachts.
He was a proud grad of U Tenn, and his boat was named RockyTop. Mine had the turbo 8V71TI's, he had older naturals and he couldn't get that tub up on plane, since he was a liveaboard too. Deep V hull took a lot of power to get up on plane and keep it there, for me 2100 rpm when I only had 2300 to use. Latest models had 8-92's and could cruise at 22 knots/25mph. For comparison, Mostly's boat leaps up on plane and gets up to around 50mph.

Everything except us is faster these days...

as expected hurting a bit this morning, ran out of my arthritis pills with four days to go.
neck hurts and have heating pad on it. Have pain killers but opioids, and I basically never take them. Might have to take a mild one. Trying to get prescription forwarded to me is a real hassle and I'm on the move now, making time, the horse is starting to pick up speed going back to the barn. Driving rv means neck is on a swivel and this shows me how much I depend upon arthritis meds, in my case celebrex.

At least the driving home now is all big roads. I'm actually feeling very good neck has done this well all trip. My planning on limiting my hours of driving seems to have worked. Not bringing enough pills does not.

another set of train horns in distance
musical and echoey through the hills

RS, how are you doing? are those hoops protecting your veggies?

Coffee is cooling in cup. 45° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 79° with lots of sunshine. Never got to tree trimming. Helped neighbor clear a area of woods behind his home. Finished that up just in time to catch NASCAR race. Lots of pit stop mistakes for many drivers. Not sure what I will get done today. I have a whole winter to get trees trimmed. Maybe a good day to get a conserve energy day in.

Looking, taking foot off throttle pedal when coming up to a stop. Many people never learn. They never take foot off pedal until brake is required to stop vehicle. Then they wonder why their brakes need replacing. My fellow work partner and I got new company vehicles every 18 months (about 100k miles). I would never need new brakes on my van during my usage. His vans would need new brakes every 30-50k miles. His fuel mileage was much lower than mine.
