Hello, we have a 2130 JD that, while driving, started leaking a large amount of oil out the top. We watched Bundy Bears Shed video which was very informative. If anyone has done this job on the tractor we are at the stage where the big nut is loosened but we can't turn the steering wheel any further than its normal limit to get it to release. Anyone run into this? Would appreciate any advice. Thx

So much for Bundy Bear. Get yourself a proper manual. You need to take a few things apart down below before the shaft and control valves will come out the top.
Thank you. Maybe I’m explaining wrong. I’m not trying to remove the whole column, just the inside to change the 6 orings.

In order to access the 6 large o-rings(L34451) one needs to remove steering wheel cap & steering wheel. Remove large adjusting nut then place steering wheel back onto steering shaft. Turn steering wheel CCW & shaft with 2 steering valve bodies. Do not remove valve bodies/shims from shaft without creating very good documentation/photos of location of each component.!!!! Now with the aid of a long rod/pick & good light one can R&R the 6 o-rings taking special care to put each o-ring in the correct groove.
