What class of tractor for maintaining two miles of road at higher elevation?

I just saw an add for a New Holland Work Master 105, 4x4, loader, but open station, "poultry house special" for $54,899. I know you want cab, but I was surprised to see a 105hp New Holland at those prices. I can't 100% say it's new new. It is a 12x12 or 24x24 power shuttle.

I "think" the poultry house special has undersized tires for use inside barns.

If it IS used, I'd stear clear of any poultry house equipment, chicken litter is pretty dang corrosive

No need to be sorry. Kubota is definitely offering discounts for cash on a few of the tractors we were looking at. If you have to get insurance to get their 0% financing then that is probably not going to be something we're interested in.

You have to have insurance for most anything financed: mortgage, vehicles, tractors, ect.

It's not a bad idea to have insurance on the tractor even if you paid cash for it. Sometimes it's included in homeowners insurance, as long as it's on your property.

I agree. But typically homeowners insurance only covers theft and comprehensive types of damage. KTAC even covers damage caused by boneheaded operator errors.

Thanks for keeping and eye out for me, but a cab is just something I'm not willing to compromise on. If I had a sealed shop that kept the slit out, then maybe, but my dirt floor barn does not do a good job and everything in there gets coated after the wind blows. If I have to clean it before I use it, I'm probably going to hate using it.

That's true, but it's something I've never really thought about since I've never used financing for anything other than mortgages.

I could see it being a good idea to insure against operator error for the first year since I've never operated a tractor before, but it's going to stay on the property, so I didn't really plan on insuring it. Maybe fire/theft if it's only a few hundred a year.
