Kubota tractor manufacturing sites around the world

As the Kubota tractors are sold worldwide, the company has expanded its manufacturing line on almost every continent. The Kubota locations for manufacturing tractors around the world are:

  • Suzhou, Jiangsu, China
  • Pathumthani, Cachoengsao, Thailand
  • Binh Duong Province, Vietnam
  • Haryana, India
  • Bierne, France
  • Klepp Stasjon, Norway and others

Who Builds Kubota Engines?

The story of Kubota engines started in 1922 when the corporation produced the first horizontal, liquid-cooled kerosine engine that was installed in agricultural vehicles. Next, in 1937, the corporation established the Sakai Plant in Osaka.

Kubota produces different types of engines, including vertical, and horizontal diesel engines and small engines. Kubota engines are built in various locations, including:

  • Jiangsu, China
  • Kubota, Philippines
  • Chachoengsao, Thailand
  • Semarang, Indonesia

But then they go on to say this..... WTH?

Conclusion

Kubota tractors originated in Japan, but they have manufacturing facilities in various locations around the globe. Most of the Kubota tractors sold in the U.S. are manufactured in Gainesville, Georgia, while the bigger series are manufactured in Japan but assembled in Jefferson.

Looks like the MF 4710 tractors are made in China 🤬

What a disappointment.
I think they have plants worldwide just like many other brands. To serve local markets.

I hear what you’re saying about not buying new. But when I was looking 3 years ago, all the decent used machines weren’t much of a price discount compared to new. So I gave up on chasing used units and just went new with 0% financing and kept my cash invested.
I've always wondered about that 0% scheme

Do they double the income through the obligated comprehensive insurance?

I don't really know anything about it, just something that came down the grape vine.

IDK, but the insurance isn’t cheap. I haven’t had to use it but I hear that it’s really good and even covers repairs that are caused by operator error. It’s rare anymore that there’s any significant cash discount so a buyer may as well go for 0% financing. I buy tires from Discount Tire for the same reason: 6 months no interest and prices are comparable to other stores.

Why don't you just pay cash for the tires? No interest every time, no matter who sells them.

I am always reticent to take money from my accounts. So I would rather pay a little each payday if it’s interest free. I also like that they do free rotations and balancing for the life of the tires.

I tend to search out places that offer discounts for CASH! ;-)

We checked out the 2022' MF 4710. It was advertised at $77,800 on line, but when asked about the price they said $94,000, but they were willing to deal since it was a 22'. I don't remember the exact price, they then quoted, but it was something like $84,000. What about for cash? Oh we can do $77,800. Tractor was made in Brazil.

To me these tractors that have had their production moved out of the USA or Japan, are a gamble. The chances of pulling that off with no decrease in quality and no failures (that show up at 2,000+ hours on the clock when the warranty is over) is next to nil. Sorry but I'd rather buy from a company that's been making their tractors in India for the last 30+ years, than take a chance on a MF made in Brazil. It takes time to work out the bugs and I don't want to pay top dollar to be a guinea pig.

At this point I think I'll just keep an eye on the used Kubota market.

No need to be sorry. Kubota is definitely offering discounts for cash on a few of the tractors we were looking at. If you have to get insurance to get their 0% financing then that is probably not going to be something we're interested in.

I just saw an add for a New Holland Work Master 105, 4x4, loader, but open station, "poultry house special" for $54,899. I know you want cab, but I was surprised to see a 105hp New Holland at those prices. I can't 100% say it's new new. It is a 12x12 or 24x24 power shuttle.

I "think" the poultry house special has undersized tires for use inside barns.

If it IS used, I'd stear clear of any poultry house equipment, chicken litter is pretty dang corrosive

You have to have insurance for most anything financed: mortgage, vehicles, tractors, ect.

It's not a bad idea to have insurance on the tractor even if you paid cash for it. Sometimes it's included in homeowners insurance, as long as it's on your property.

I agree. But typically homeowners insurance only covers theft and comprehensive types of damage. KTAC even covers damage caused by boneheaded operator errors.

Thanks for keeping and eye out for me, but a cab is just something I'm not willing to compromise on. If I had a sealed shop that kept the slit out, then maybe, but my dirt floor barn does not do a good job and everything in there gets coated after the wind blows. If I have to clean it before I use it, I'm probably going to hate using it.

That's true, but it's something I've never really thought about since I've never used financing for anything other than mortgages.

I could see it being a good idea to insure against operator error for the first year since I've never operated a tractor before, but it's going to stay on the property, so I didn't really plan on insuring it. Maybe fire/theft if it's only a few hundred a year.
