I have an old rural 2 story farmhouse and I have mice in the walls. When everything gets quiet, I can hear the "crunch, crunch" of the chewing on something/studs inside the outside wall. I've put those green poison blocks in the basement sill area and will toss them to the top corner of the wall studs (maybe they'll fall down inside the walls - if I'm a good tosser) in the attic, and put sticky pads there too. Any other tricks to get 'em out, if they're inside "sealed" walls?

We had a similar mice in the walls problem years ago and by good fortune ran across a “Free Kittens” sign on a telephone pole. We brought home 2 brothers and Wallah! No more mouse problems. They cats were also a very entertaining and welcome addition to the household.

This might be a time to call a rodent exterminator.
^^agree. At this point, let a pro take a look at the situation. Even if all the existing mice are killed, more will come in through the smallest of holes. They will be drawn in by mouse smells of the past generations.

I have mice out here in the open range land. Always have - always will.

However - a good, tough barn cat or two will bring the mouse situation to a tolerable level. My main problem with cats - they MUST learn to not venture out very far at night. Owls and coyotes are out there - waiting.

My dog and I go out - late evening - and with my flashlight I can see the eyes in the bushes and the silhouettes up in the pine trees.

It's a quick trip and we never go beyond the influence of the yard light.

Ya gotta seal....up.....anything and everything.....

It will not be easy and you may never get there (to a state of no mice) but...you may get them to where they are not in the walls.

How your cats getting inside the walls to catch those mice? Il be also willing to bet that you have a box of poop in your house.

Not all mice problems are fixed with more animals. You need to find where there getting in and lower the population outside. Dont put bait inside your house..your just making them want to come inside.
