LOL - I loaded 16 foot stuff in my F150 with a 5.5 foot bed all the time. I just opened the rear sliding window, and slide the board all the way in. Fits with very little overhang! I did my basement ceiling with five eights tongue and groove. Just bought all 16 foot boards, and I could pack 18 of them in at a time
Be gentle on the braking when doing that. Windshields can be expensive.

Maybe as much as the cost of a ladder rack, which would let you easily carry those planks.
And then when you stop fast, those boards on the rack go shooting into the intersection! :ROFLMAO:

9 miles of 35mph road????

I'd go nuts.
We have tons of 35 mph roads, mostly straight and leading into town.
The curvy roads out side of town are 40 or 45, and make life a bit more fun.

I've done 3 miles at around 15 mph, numerous times.
Also done that same 3 miles with a little hydrostatic tractor that didn't even average 10 mph a few times.
Then 12 and 16 miles at 15 mph a few times.

I've suffered spending two hours to go 10 miles on a forest service "road" a number of times. Actually, the first 2/3 isn't bad at all, but towards the end even 1 mph is a bit fast due to the rocks, sharp curves, low hanging branches, and trees right next to it.

Of course, it all depends on what you're driving. In the Jeep it takes maybe 20 minutes. Still, well worth getting in there once a year, next to the lake.

I''ve driven about 90 miles at that speed or less, towing a snowmobile trailer with a big cement mixer on it. Afterwards I realized it wouldn't have been so top heavy if I'd taken the drum off and put that in the bed of the truck.
