does/is anyone having issues with their rear diff. housing. I've had my Mahindra 2415HST for about 20 years with only 235 hours on it. while working on a relative flat ground I seem to have cracked the rear diff. housing and Mahindra does NOT have any to replace it with.

Wow! What timing! I've just spotted a puddle of oil under my RK24 right differential. I have not tracked it down yet but first thought was cracked casing. Have you actually seen a crack? My 50 year old Satoh got dirt in the oil seals and I had to replace them. At 20 years old, could you have worn out seals. I have had heavy equipment mechanics blame leaking seals on not operating your equipment often enough and the shafts sit on the bottom of the seals causing them to harden and stop sealing. I hope that mine is a seal!

A good machine shop might be able to repair it. I once saw a Kubota on which the rear housing had been ripped off with a 3pth backhoe, and it had been welded back together.

My leak appears to be the joint and not a crack. Not leaking bad enough to justify disassembly and resealing. Pictures are tough to tell where the leak is but about where the paint puddled on the vertical joint.

It looks like it's been hit by something and cracked. Good that it's not leaking badly but I would be more concerned about the structural weakness which may cause that case to fail at some point.

Have you tried finding a used one?

No I haven't, If/when it fails completely, I will have to though. Probably then, the axle will be bent up and I will have to replace it then. It is in really light duty service so I am disappointed when I see things like this.
