Also, sorry for the multiple short posts but, noone on YouTube mentioned anything about advancing timing.
Not only did Kioti back the fuel down they also backed the injection timing down to make the CK2610 and 2620 24.5hp. Very anemic. The injection timing and fuel screw really makes this thing run like its 100.5ci. I can describe the injection timing procedure if you would like. I advanced mine 4 deg.

Let’s see your dyno numbers before we all get “screwing” around with our tractors 🥴

Give me a couple weeks fellas. Ill get r done. Have any of you ever seen a tractor pto dyno before? Its nothing like a car dyno. It attaches to the pto shaft and turns a oil pump on the dyno. Ya bring up and maintain 540 pto rpm, restrict the output of the dyno oil pump until the tractor is at WOT and can no longer maintain 540 rpm. then the output pressure of the dyno oil pump is converted to HP. Then you can take the pto hp add 4 to 5 hp (for parasitic drag) to get engine hp. Look up tractor pto dyno on youtube.

Only seen on YouTube. I wonder how accurate/consistent true numbers are across machines? I get the impression that old shops from 60s/70s/80s had these, and it was common; and also the impression that the few shops that still do, have machines from 60s/70s/80s.

I would imagine the vast majority of them old dynos have never been calibrated. The bad thing is short of pulling the engine and mounting to a engine dyno a pto dyno is the only way we have to test our machines.

Out of curiosity, did it quiet down any after your tweaking?

Not that I really need more power in the 2620 I recently bought. It puts the BX25D to shame just by being heavier, its primary task being backhoe usage.

Have only used the Kioti twice so far (still under 5 hrs) and some say it could quiet down a bit by itself over time.

Engine? or hydro whining? Every says the hydro quites down after fluid change, but I never noticed either being loud. My hearing isn't great anyways.

Add cetane boost. Diesel in North America is barely above 40. 50-55 is ideal…
My 2014 CK30HST is relatively quiet running AMSOIL injector clean&cetane boost.
I’ve Been using it for about 6 years and noticed the difference right away.

I didn't realize it till you ask but it did and it cranks easier. The only time it smokes is under a heavy load or I advance the throttle quickly.

My warranty is up in November, so I'm interested. Bought the 2610 lower HP because I only planned on dirt work and logging winch/grapple. We ended up moving to a new property that needs mowing, tilling, and chipping...... so, interested in boosting up the power, too.

The hydro power of these guy's are great. my next implement is gonna be the backhoe. How do you like yours?

I went 3 turns out on the fuel screw and took .60mm of shims out from under the injection pump for a total of 4 deg advanced. Seems to be very happy there.

Thanks! I'll be awaiting your dyno results.
Also, guessing from your handle, howdy from a fellow A&P.

I have used Diesel Kleen (silver bottle) in both my 2004 VW Jetta TDI Diesel that I bought new in 04 and now has 420,000 mi on it and in the Kioti. With the ULSD diesels really need the extra lube and cetane boost.

I like it a lot. As mentioned, it's not even comparable to a BX25D (which has the same HP), but that's mostly due to the extra weight.

Now, the Kioti backhoe has many other things I prefer over the Kubota's, like that the levers for the outriggers work in the correct direction - away is down, like it should be. Built in outrigger restraints is another nice touch.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a replacement for a Case 580, but great for smaller jobs. For example, today I needed to create space for 4- as I had extended a drainage ditch culvert.

Yesterday I pecked away at it with the BX25D, just to make room around the culvert, but had I not used the Kioti today I'd probably still been out there working at it. And a Case 580 would've been severe overkill and taken longer to keep repositioning.

When you get ready to install the backhoe, PM me. It's not hard, but the instructions are dismal.

Sounds like its just the tool I need. I will definitely be in touch. Thanks.

Another thing. Apparently the backhoe comes with a 7" bucket, which to me would've been all but useless.

Thankfully the dealer was nice enough to give me a 16" one instead, which is just about perfect for my needs.
