Couple more counties and you'd be in my part of the world.
I keep the backhoe on mine and feels like semi compared to the little BX. They make a nice team, haul and spread with the LS then finish with little tractor and box. Take 2 or 4 trips with the bx to haul what the LS does in one.

I see, the BX is a sub-compact. Makes sense now.

I now have about 4 acres of old pasture to mow. Lets be realistic, its 4 acres of weeds.

I like to mow just before it gets hot! I let the weeds grow, and just as they are about done getting height, I head out and mow them down. This is usually mid to late June for me. Since its typically too hot and dry for any meaningful growth, I'm not worried about dragging the mower though the hot dusty field in July or August. But in Sept or Oct, the growth will tend to pick up again. So, I try to wait until mid-oct into November to mow again. I want the weeds down before the snow fall, but not too early that they grow.

But, getting out there and mowing when you want or need, is completely up to you! Nothing better than seat time!

Talk about dusty, the road here is like driving through 3000 kids cleaning out chalkboard erasers right in my face. Looks like Beryl is going to water my road sometime in the near future.

I've never run a box blade before but got this tractor to mow our fields, till, repair the road, fix some rough spots in the area we finish mow, find light tractor work to do with it such as mow fields, road blading, and whatever else I can find to do with it.

Our road was severely rutted from the hard spring rains. It is about 2000' of road, and took me about 7 hours to rip it, put a crown in it best I could with the remaining aggragate, then smooth it over.

Man, that was a blast, and I got to know a bit more about how the tractor reacts and performs. Next I will be mowing the fields before weeds go to seed again. I am wondering what are the best times of year to cut fields for this, if there is such a thing?

I really am enjoying this machine!
