Tractor
Mitsubishi MT2001D
Mitzie (Mitsubishi MT2001FD) was my Late Husband's tractor and I have tried to maintain her ... she works hard around my place, but I am not sure I take good enough care of her.
My Mechanic is not a fan of grey tractors, but he works on her with minimal fuss
He had her in the back pasture spraying (I just got a 65 gal Fimco 3pt sprayer) and Mitzie overheated.
She has done this for years ... I know about how much and how long before my light comes on, so everything is done in stages.
I have called Steven's, Weaver, Pitt, and All-States ... all a firm "No!". Southern Global was also a no, but rude about it.
I have left a message with Schaeffer's, and followed it up with an email.
Two questions ...
Have I missed any sources (Yes, I have down loaded the PDF, which is amazing)??
And ....
Can the radiator be cross referenced?? That cannot be the only tractor that radiator ever went into.
Thank you so very much!!!
Anne

Anne,
Glad you downloaded the PDF. We try to keep it up-to-date.
Len Schaeffer should find something. He's good at it.

You could reach out to Pitt Auto. They do Gray machines too. Not certain of their pricing.
Mitsubishi Tractor Parts

Now, the MT2001 is related to the Satoh S670. If I do a search on the S670, I find radiators. You need to compare your broken one with the S670 to verify.

The tractor is old enough you could probably have the radiator professionally cleaned. I think they take it apart and clean the core with rods or something like that. You could even have the core replaced at a radiator shop, we have one locally that does all of that.

It is harder to find radiator repair places anymore. Glad you have one in town.

Plenty of these Japan made tractors use Japan radiators found in Japan mini-trucks and such. It would be nice to know what cross references these.

Pitt was a NO when I called ... and Mr. Scheaffer has not called back yet.
Wonderful info on the S670! I thought there had to be a relative somewhere! :)

Hoping you downloaded the PDF pinned at the top of the thread. When you search for your machine, you will turn up machines with the same engine and size. Much of the time these will use the same radiator and such.

try a Mitsubishi tractor dealer in the Netherlands. I talked to them 2 yrs ago while looking for a obsolete radiator for my Japanese international tractor that was built by Mitsubishi. the radiator matched up to the measurements and specifications and the brand new radiator was only $350 thats including shipping & Vats. they would be able to cross your model over to correct part # since it's a Mitsubishi tractor, they are still using the radiator that fits mine in brand new tractors but there was no part # interchange for it..

As Roadworthy said, find a local radiator shop, and have it looked at, and/or recored. A good radiator shop can do amazing things, and can rebuild just about anything. Looking for a used or New Old Stock replacement will take you a lot time and effort. You wouldn't know if a used one is functional anyway. A recored one will be flushed and pressure tested. And this also maintains the local economy.
