To each his own. I don't fool with truck tires ever when I can have them mounted by my tire man for 15 bucks a shot, in a tire cage. Much safer and less chance of getting dead.

This is my tire cage:

I hide behind the bucket when filling.

This tire never "popped" on to the bead, it seems the rim just has a shallow slope to the edge of the rim. Got to 110 psi no problems.

That will be a problem because the air supply connector senses the valve presence, so no joy. You need a special adapter used with tire changers that passes air with or without the valve inserted.
you need a flow through valve inflator that will blow air out even when not connect to valve stem

I have put split ring tires on my hydraulic press as a safety device, yours looks good to me as well

Have mounted quite a few tires with starting fluid. IF you go that route the valve core should be out, and you should use starting fluid that "mists". The steady stream ones don’t ignite as well. John Deere brand was the worst. As for split rims, that’s why they invented tire shops. BTW, if you can store your spares standing up vs laying flat it goes a long way towards solving seating issues.

That's because the 1/2" sizes (22.5, 24.5, etc.) doesn't have safety beads on the rims. They'll just seat, there's nothing to make them "pop".

I would only worry about death or injury if it was a split rim which he stated that it wasn’t. Split rims need to be placed in a safety cage that offers a safe method of reseating the bead.

Wouldn't hurt to use one when using ether. I've seen 150+ lb. wheel and tire assemblies land some 15 feet from where they were lit.

To each his own. I prefer having my tire man mount my truck tires, Less chance of me getting pressed.
