Name another manufacturer who has gone to such lengths to fix their problems.

Well, there is Ford.

Nearly every one of their 5.4L engines from 1997 to 2003 will eventually start blowing out spark plugs.
Then, from 2004 to 2007, the spark plugs broke in half (usually while being changed).

So, what did Ford do? Absolutely nothing... perhaps try to sell customers a new pickup.

Your spelling sucks btw.
Thanks, it means everything else is good LOL.....I do it on purpose to irritate assholes.

Japanese tractors are good, but Japanese trucks made in America are bad? Got it.
Again, they have japanise name but tundras are 100% american car developed here, in america, built here in america.
It is even more american than ford or dodge or ram. This is the problem. I did not know it before i bought it.

Don't irritate me at all. Just shows your grasp of the English language is poor or you don't take the time to correct your spelling.

5030, i respect your bias on Jap rigs, which is similar to mine about nearly all domestic trucks these days, esp newer ones that about take a 2nd mortgage to purchase & loaded with technology that's expensive to maintain & repair.
Why I keep driving my 97 F350. It never sees snow or salt and will last me until I no longer need to drive. Been paid for for decades. I'm not to buy a new overpriced truck loaded with gadgets that will ultimately fail.

with you on that. now for those younger & entering the workforce...
i feel for the current vehicle & housing market challenges.
going back to OP, wonder what the main bearing design that caused it to spin? looks like it will cost Tyotie beacoup

I was thinking of going to a new Tundra but the V6 was what turned me off, if they still had the bullet proof V8 engine available I probably would have traded. As it is I will be staying with my 2010 Tundra that has been coast to coast and many places in between with a travel trailer on it's tail and it has been ABSOLUTELY perfect. Nothing done to it but regular service and a set of brake pads.

21 was the last year of the V8. The twin turbo V6 started in 2022.
Man, I'm getting old...seems like those just came out. Mine's a 2017. Probably drive it until they take my license.

Your spelling sucks btw. Keep in mind that while they are built here, all the profit goes to Japan. Me, I'll keep my Ford F350 Diesel. Only ever had one recall and it was handled in 5 minutes.
"Too many people have yet to grasp the full implications of that, even in the twenty-first century. If the goods and services available to the American people are greater as a result of international trade, then Americans are wealthier, not poorer, regardless of whether there is a “deficit” or “surplus” in the international balance of trade."

I had no idea Kubotas were US tractors. Knock me over with a feather. Irony much.

Some are, some aren't The new big M series Kubota's aren't, I believe they are rebadged Italian tractors, just like my new BV round bailer and I also believe all Kubota's hay tools are as well. In fact, the manual for my round baler is written in Italian with English as well and some parts of the manual still have to be interpreted.

Which italian brand makes the new M Kubota?

Point is...Toyota is no different than Kubota or almost any other manufacturer. I know that my truck was made in Indiana by Indianans. It's your prerogative to pick and chose what foreign badges you have parked in your barn or garage but owning a Kubota is no different than owning a Toyota.

Forgive me for the spelling error. I was juggling my two year old daughter while typing.

This is a big deal for Toyota who’s reputation is built on reliability. The previous generation Tundra’s with the 4.6L and 5.7L V8’s were capable of going a million miles. The first million mile Tundra was bought back from the owner and he was given a new one. The truck was disassembled and analyzed by engineers and nothing was was wrong with it. The engine still put out the same power as when it was new, original transmission, etc. Several more V8 Tundra’s have hit a million miles since then.

All this push for fuel efficiency and cleaner emissions forced Toyota to move to the turbo V6 with hybrid option. The engine has twin turbos, three radiators, and a ten speed transmission. First there were turbo wastegate issues, now we’re getting reports of front crank bearing failure potentially due to debris inside the engine. This all requires removal of the cab to repair. Toyota once known for its conservative approach to engineering and reliability is now showing signs of unreliability.
As an aside, Toyota's are unobtanium here in Ontario Canada. Dealers have no new stock. They expect suckers (I mean buyers) to give them $2K non-refundable deposits and wait 2 years for delivery on a vehicle with unknown model year, unknown options and unknown final price.

No thank you Toyota, go F*CK yourselves - you are losing repeat customers. Sorry I don't sign blank cheques over to scammers (dealers, stealers, whatever). I don't approve of your new post-covid business model telling Canadians to go bend over even further than during pre-covid times.

Vote with your wallets. Stop supporting sleazy vendors and shady business models.

Local Toyota dealer has just a smattering of new inventory. The SUVs I looked at had a $5000 "market adjustment" added onto MSRP, probably dealer added, IIRC.

I have a 2014 Tundra with +200k miles on it. Zero issues other than regular maintenance items. Its been great and I don't feel like a traitor driving it. Lol.

That being said, I wont be buying a new Tundra.....or new Chevy or new Ford or any other ridiculous new vehicle. I will drive this one until I cannot buy parts for it. All these new regulations and hybrids and turbos. Having to pay a subscription to drive your own damn vehicle is ridiculous. They can have it, doesn't matter the manufacturer.
