Did install new headlight bulb in the Subaru. I go thru a lot so I keep them in stock. I drive with headlights on all the time.
Still cold out, looks are deceiving. 34°
Starting to cloud up, might not see the sun for another week.

8 outside this AM. Heading to mid-40's. I think our cold spell is over for a little while.

Got the plumber coming today for a Milk House hookup. Maybe a hot water heater and two sinks. Not sure about the bathroom as no floor or wall work has been undertaken since the last time they were here. Cannot come to an agreement on the tile work. One guy says walls need to come out down to studs, another says furring, I say slap mud on them and get at it. The walls are a concrete mix over mesh. Not giving up any more space for framing and durarock, IMHO, which is why I say slap the mud on them and get the tile up.

Mike, agree. As long as you get good adhesion to the paint go for it. Maybe a special primer? The existing concrete wall should be better than the durock to my thinking.

TOS link is optical, coax digital is electrical. You would have to add another layer of conversion to make it work.

The tile guy won't budge. He is a good guy, high quality work.

Tonight I start pounding the concrete walls out in the shower. Not happy about it, but I do not want to revisit tile in my future.

Plus, the concrete was painted by me with only the lord knows what. When I turned the equipment part of the "bathroom" into a tool shed. LOL.

At this point, I am not up for arguing details on what a professional recommends. But dang it, you know, it's 100 year old concrete!!!

Yes it would, but it would be adding another cheap Chinese conversion to his signal chain, defeating his mission of trying to go upscale with the CD player in the first place.
In reality, it would work just fine.

Ordered a replacement board for my energy logger that monitors my geothermal system. He offers half price replacement. It stopped working over a year ago, right before I retired. Called the guy who makes them, and he confirmed that was my best option. I have one of the earliest models, long since upgraded to better stuff. A few years ago it lost its flash and I stopped by the guys house in western MD and he reflash it (2012)
It also monitors the thermostats to determine run time, etc. and monitors loop temperatures.

I agree, trying for pure signal path
so I have a choice of coax digital out or RCA.
I went with RCA, upped my game by a factor of 10, one dollar cable to ten!
so apparently there are three options, coax digital, toslink digital and plain old RCA
