am having fun listening to new stereo speakers in office, have some good music cranked up,
very surprised they were much clearer than Klipsch powered speakers I was using. Maybe because separate
integrated amp is very low distortion, or the amp's DAC really is much better,
or the KEF speakers come through better in their raised position on the wall.
speakers come with a port and optional foam plug; need to experiment to see how using the plug or not changes the sound.

what I can't do is play both speakers at once. Some circuit only allows one to play despite separate USB cords.
not sure there is a way around that.

had a nice short nap, rested up before heading out to family dinner party.
With a big bag of presents for the kiddos, ho ho ho.

Thanks, I didn't know on the Iphone you can now tap on the picture and it will do that with people, separating the background. It did get a little of the chair.

Great dinner was had by all here. Pork roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans. The rolls from the Mennonite meat market were very good. I did the potatoes, helped with gravy, and washed all the dishes afterwards.
Trying to make plans for a trip in another month.

Good (Tuesday) Boxing Day morning. overnight Low of 13.5C and it's presently 23.7C, becoming overcast with rain this evening. Steady breeze.

The Bureau of Manyguesses has truly hung their collective arses out with a 100% forecast of rain for tomorrow... we'll see.

A lovely day was had at the neighbour's yesterday arvo, including king prawns and a huge 5 kilo cray! I was "as stuffed as a centipede's sock-drawer"!

Home by 1530. A quiet evening with a few 'nibbles' in for tea.

Today is dhobi day and chilling out.

Merry Christmas everyone. No tractor work today, but we worked on an old shed, framing in a door and window. Yesterday was a holiday hike. Supposed to be about 3 miles. It was 9. I was broken when it was over but it was beautiful. 1 year ago, our daughter was in the Hospital getting life saving surgery. My heart is full of thanks this Christmas.

I'm sure Christmas 2023 wife & I will never forget! Not to sound like "Debbie Downer" but we've both had this respiratory virus 3 weeks! Both spent the day couple weeks ago in local hospital, wife has pneumonia.
To top it off Gracie cat (16 yo) hasn't been well (picture taken this summer), veterinarian put her on thyroid pills and she passed away Christmas day. We couldn't visit family and Christmas dinner was soup & sandwich!
Wow...certainly hope for better 2024. We're at least some better today.

Yesterday wore me out, and I was in bed early, so now up early.

Coffee is brewing. 48° with light rain this morning. Heading to 53° with cloudy skies. Spent way to much time on phone yesterday. But it was great talking with my brother, sister and others. In afternoon I went out to shop and made a bracket to mount a 3rd function valve on newest tractor. Even got it painted.
Let Sassy out for her evening walk. 99% of last full moon of 2023 was peaking threw the clouds. Actual December Full Cold Moon will happen about 7:30 this evening if clouds break open here. Like it did yesterday evening.
Little hazy because of surrounding clouds.

Good morning! A surprise freeze this morning at 28˚F with heavy frost, but winds will be shifting from the South and afternoon temps will be in the upper 50s with bright Sunny skies.

Fuddy Christmas 2023 a end year to forget hope you and your wife feel better and have a healthy start to 2024. So sorry that Gracie died on Christmas, may she Rest In Peace.

PT today along with a store run. The Christmas Tamales with cranberry sauce turned out better than expected. We have the process down with our tamale press machine and the InstantPot.

Good morning, the low is 34 and the high going to 37°F. Wind ENE 9 mph. Periods of rain or drizzle.

Junior did an excellent job on the turkey. The apple in the bird didn't change any of the flavour at all, but the white meat was moist instead of the usual dry.

We let the wood stove go out on Christmas day and just heat with the oil furnace. So I just got back up from lighting the wood stove.

Fuddy, every time you mention the cats name she is alive in your heart.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

God has given us another chance To get it right (or at least not screw up too badly. . .).

53.1F going to mid-60s, rainy wet day again today. Overnight T-storms last night had Senior dog apoplectic, so i am not firing on all cylinders yet…

Dinner was successful, gifts were exchanged, libations consumed, a good time was had by all.

Energy conservation day today, what with lousy weather.

ePrey auction for crossbow ends tonight, and some activity has taken place on the bidding — I am one of those annoying people who doesn’t bid until the very end, so I can gauge how it will play out and how substantial a bid I need to throw out or if it is beyond what I really want to spend, but too much early bidding drives up the price unnecessarily high way too soon… we shall see if I have lost my sniping skills, since this will be the first actual auction i am bidding on in over a decade! And it will be my first using a tablet and not a desktop/laptop PC…
