Question… is the voltage 380 volt or is it properly called 400 volt?
It used to be 220/380v depending whether phase and a null (220V) or three phase (380V)
Later it changed to 230/400V. I am not sure but they might be aiming for 240V meanwhile, but they do it gradually so people wont notice why electrical appliances start failing...

I've been driving the 3.6L RAM for a few years now, and am continually impressed with it.

It gets somewhere around 300 hp which is about the same as the vintage 350 chevy engine. On a good day, I'll get 20MPG to 25MPG empty, and 13MPG to 16MPG towing my trailer. I would like to see stiffer suspension, but otherwise the engine is fine.
Yeah, the 3.6 is a good little engine, and perfect for a 1500 I think. Had one for several years. But the 6.2 makes it much more fun to drive.

Recently bought a Challenger with the 3.6.

Thank You… I remember when I started building back in the early 80’s and had a meeting with the electric company they were surprised I also wanted 380v 3 phase for a cabin…

I pencilled it out and having the 380v made the electric continuous flow Siemens water heater viable plus works great for the buzz saw too.

Did not realize the power was now closer to 400v

It’s all underground now but when I built it was run house to house overhead…

I’m glad I’m an old fart and probably won’t see the results of the current administrations war on diesel, well war on anything carbon!

I do feel sorry for my kids, and even more so my grandkids
You can lay the blame wherever you wish.

However a bit of history...

Tier 4 Emission Standards was adopted by the EPA in 2004 under George Bush (Republican), to be phased in from 2008 to 2015.
The USA started phasing in ULSD in 2006 and 2007 under George Bush (Republican), which was a requirement for cleaner burning diesel vehicles.

Much of the development and implementation of the DPF, DEF and CATs came during the Obama years, but likely had been well under development during the Bush years.

Donald Trump was in office in 2017 to 2020, and the Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate in 2017 to 2018.

Cummins could have complained to Congress and Donald Trump that the emission standards developed a decade earlier were just to dang strict. Although doing so might have been an admission of their fooling around with the emissions system. And yet they didn't.

These aren't Biden policies, but rather policies that had been put in place long before he became President.

As mentioned earlier, the SMOG controls were started in the early 1970's, and incrementally got more and more strict due to problems with SMOG. If nothing had been done, with the current us population about 60% higher than in 1970, we could be in a world of hurt.

I remember when I was younger that older pickups routinely got less than 10 MPG. I'm glad that my newer RAM pickup gets better gas mileage than my little 4 cylinder Ford Ranger from a few years ago, while also being a large enough pickup to handle a decent sized trailer.

It is hard to deny that burning billions of gallons of fossil fuels is impacting our planet, whether it is from SMOG to climate change.

Politicians standing up on a stump can't simply wish away fundamental changes that are happening to our planet that will impact all of us and our progeny.

I suppose it’s the boogie man who is wishing away our gas stoves and forcing EV tecH down our throats…..

Trick question: Which administration started the EPA?

Nixon, and it actually did some good. Mainly cleaning up government pollution, but no one would want to live in major Chinese cities without pollution control.

Currently there is an extremism with the war on fossil fuels. Not to mention the bizarre idea that CO2 is a pollutant, or the climate change hoax.

The epa is definitely needing to be reigned in.

The EPA is at the point where current technology has eliminated 95% of the pollutants. They are hell bent on getting that last 5%. Everyone knows the last 5% is the costliest and hardest to achieve.

That is a bunch of bureaucrats with too much time looking for a problem to solve.
Yep, trying to achieve 100% perfection will doom us.
