Click bait , and I fell for it. It won't happen again.

Engine oil and diesel filters are easily crossed referenced, I go to the local Mahindra dealer for hydraulic filters. Purchased my 2013 T503 cab HST, 400 miles away out of state, the dealer delivered it for free and he threw in the first set of hydraulic filters (to me that is dealer support, lol). So far 400hrs and no issues. For some dealer support is a big issue, not the case for me.

You're absolutely right....I am just accustomed to having parts shipped easily to my office, like I could do with my 9N and my Yanmar. It hasn't been as easy with this tractor is pretty much all I was saying, trying to save people some time and frustration. But man some folks on here jump on some strange stuff, like the fact I haven't updated my tractor info on my profile. Ya know...I figured saying TYM 394 in the body of my post was enough..??

Yes, I did find Big Reds after a while, and they were good folks. Thanks for the input though.

Thanks for getting my point. I have a "regular job" too where I can't pull away from people to play phone tag with a dealer. it's 2017, it is indeed a click and ship world.

One of the Kubota dealers close to me has Saturday hours that aren't easy for me to get to. During the week they are kind of far away to just go over during lunch. I'm at work before they open and by the time I leave work they are closed. The others are further away. I buy everything on-line that I can. Why drive when I can click a few buttons on a mouse and find the retail price and know how good of a deal I'm getting? If the local guys want my business then they need to be more willing to work with my schedule.

As far as TYM not working with a customer being like other companies, not likely. When I had a Camaro and it had a vibration at 65mph (under warranty) the dealer just balanced the tires and said that's all you get. I called Chevy directly who then said that's unacceptable and gave me a list of other dealers in the area and, if needed, they would flatbed the car to and from my house (with a loaner car). I drove there. The dealership had already been contacted and had a brand new driveshaft and 4 new tires. So, yes, it's possible to get good service from the company.

The folks at the dealership have "regular jobs" also. That is their regular job... :2cents:

So they probably open Saturday to assist people who are too important to make a phone-call.

But, hey, you lost me on this whinge when you listed your Location as "Wankersville, Iowa" and I see you have belatedly altered that now to "Conway, SC"
Which is it? :confused2:

Try smithsent@gmail.com. Phone number 910-567-6542 .This is Billy Smith near Fayetteville,NC. That's the dealer I just bought my TYM39 from, and he really seems to be on the ball.

The TYM dealer in Wilmington seems to be a little closer, but click on the link below and call all 4 of them if you have to in order to immediately find the parts you need.

Smith'S Enterprises (Billy Smith) is who I bought my tractor from. He sells both LS and TYM,and he is serious about it. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking to buy a TYM or LS tractor. He does have a service department on his property, but he doesn't mind telephone sales on parts and UPS shipping.

To top that off,I THINK he might be the TYM dealer closest to the factory in Wilson,NC,where they are assembled and where they ship parts from.

1 whole post for the OP...

I will admit walking into a JD dealership for filters or going on line for parts is easy. maybe something for TYM to aspire to.

Well, the 39 series TYM tractor uses a 39 HP Yanmar engine,so how hard can the filters be to find? You can walk into a JD dealership and buy them if you want,or probably get them from a local NAPA dealer if you live in a rural area.

Uhhhh, you have a Yanmar tractor and are having a hard time finding filters to fit a TYM tractor that has a Yanmar engine in it???????

Sherlock Holmes as solved the case of the mysterious town location question, seems like the last US president had a similar identity issue and that got straightened out to, case closed.

There is NO TYM "factory" in NC, there IS a distributor there that does some "minor" assembly there...

I think his comment about a "regular job" is the fact that he does not tractor for a living. Meaning like me if he needs to work on his tractor it will be out side of 9-5 Monday through Friday because that is when he is working his regular job making a living.

Need to be able to easily order parts so he can have them on hand so he can do his repairs/maintenance in the evening or on weekends. It wasn't a slam against the guys working at the local dealership.

Sales is not a regular job its a customer service job, there for a service job needs to be open Sat. preferably morning into the afternoon. The only reason I have a Kubota is back when when I put in a lot of hrs in during the week, I only had Sat afternoon off, the Kubota place near me was open til 5pm, great for trying buying tractors and parts, the JD place closes at noon Sat, what good is that if they was open atleast til 2pm I would now be driving a green tractor.

People wonder why big box stores got big is because they was open after hrs for regular people with regular job was able go to the big box store and spend their hard earned regular pay.

Had to do a lot of digging to find filters for my TYM made LM45H. Cabela's has them but they want $76 for one of the hydro filters and $55 for the other one. I found them on ebay for $70 and $38 free shipping. Still way to high. I called my local TYM dealer and he said he could order them for me and have them drop shipped from the warehouse in Wilson. Said it would probably take a few weeks even though I am only about 30 miles from the warehouse. I found the oil and fuel filters at a carquest auto parts. Way cheeper than TYM. I hope next time I have to change them there will be a cross for the hydro filters. My tractor is sitting here with the fluid drained and the two hydro filters removed waiting for the new ones to be delivered. Probably be about a week I guess. On my old for tractor, my two farmtrac, and my kobuta I can all the filters local. This is my second TYM made tractor. The first one a Montana T2734. Pain in the *** to get TYM parts even though I live 30 miles from the TYM warehouse. And no they will not let me go pick them up.

Tried sending you private message and you may not know when you get one being new here. I am also in Conway SC, would be great to meet you some time but last night was in conversation with friend who probably knows more about the brands of tractors there are and who builds what and where to find parts than anyone else in these parts. If you need help locally I suggest you call him at Rabon's in Aynor. His name is Denny. They do not sell TYM tractors but bet he can help. As to filters most brands have a number on them a shop can cross reference. If I can help send me private message. I am like you, I have a "regular" job also. Playing in the dirt is a reward. Mostly to keep the family farm in good condition and producing.

Did he order the tractor from Amazon too???

He should have bought filters then, or "maybe" he really does get over that way, once in a while...

IF needed, call the dealer, have them send you the filters. :confused2: lol...

Just stop. This thread is 7 years old and is about consumables like filters. It has nothing to do with your problem that you have already complained about on multiple threads.

You should be able to find charts on the net so you can
cross reference the filter nunbers to find a reasonable
priced filter example Yanmar/Ford/JD 456685 filter sale

Hi All:

Maybe I can spare some heartache here. I recently bought a TYM 394 with FEL and hydrostatic transmission. It's a decent little tractor with a good Yanmar engine, BUT....

I'm at 50 hours on it, and it's time to do the first oil change and the initial hydro fluid change. Don't worry, this is the interval for a new tractor and the hours are much longer for the next change.

Getting parts for these things is a bear! You have to call the dealership you got it from, or email them (unfortunately my dealer's email address online bounces back to me.)

There does not seem to be a simple, easy online shopping site to just click and get your parts. And TYM itself is pretty poor at answering emails. They'll just point you back to your dealer.

So....if you're like me and you want to get your parts by going online, clicking a few spots, and waiting for the UPS man, you'd be better off with several other brands. Heck, it was easier to get parts for my 70+ year old 9N or my 35 year old grey market Yanmar than for my year old TYM.

Just something for you all to consider.
Bouncing you back to the dealer is the same with Branson. What you need to do is find a dealer that is responsive. I did and solved my parts supply problem.....the dealer doesn't have to be next door.
