Good evening all. 77ºF for the start, clear sky, light breeze. Light wind, moderate gusts, Partly cloudy sky, and high temp was 106ºF. Bike ride to start day, 56.7 miles, got real warm at end of ride, started later than I wanted to, and more stop time than I wanted. Nap after lunch.
Dennis nice garden haul. Quite the pile of corn stalks.
Ron glad good show, hope you got some pics. Hope fence post work went well. Interesting deer pic.
Drew hope the RV work went well. Sorry about the MRI experience, all the noise just makes it worse. Were you listening to music?

Total of four knobs and deadbolts, only have to change one deadbolt (tailpiece keeps falling out of key cylinder) so three more knobs to replace. Primary concern was the primary entry door.

Harry was a little nonplussed - he want barking, he wasn’t howling, but he was a little whiny. We only left him in there for about 15 minutes while picking tomatoes, as a dry run. I need to have some toys for him in there - time to start splicing more rope!

checked in with my sister in Muir Beach. She will totally miss the storm, being on the side of the "hill" down by the beach where most of
California weather is up on the flat area, and 20 degrees hotter. A true micro climate near the water.
RNG, hope you don't get too much. Sure will find out if you have any leaks...

I'm headed down to River again this morning to take pictures with the drone.
This time it will have a memory card in it.
Then going over to my brother's home in town and will take pics of SIL's flower gardens.
She puts me to shame, of course she employs a lot more folks to help her.

came home to a smelly house. Smelly outside. But good smelly.
had all my gardens cleaned up and redressed with mulch. Folks who did it in the Spring didn't put enough on,
and that six inch rain we got washed a lot away. I was getting tired of bending over too much to pull weeds.
So that looks nice again. I need to tie back my hydrangeas and I'll take a pic.

I have an front door electronic door lock I still haven't installed. That might be a project for today, not sure it will fit, very
tight area. going to replace dead bolt and they put it below, not above the knob. Makes it hard to get to, whole thing is
challenging when coming in with groceries. Those flip door levers are the best.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up to badly’.

60F going to mid 80s, Sunny all day.

Yeaterday morning, druggies started making noise about 4:40-ishAM, enough to disturb Harry inside the house and he started howling. They heard it and took their argument back inside. Started up again around 5:30-ish and this time we let Harry out, so he could voice his displeasure in person.

Quiet morning today so far.

Today’s plans are to take mom grocery shopping after church, and maybe, if Mrs is amenable, run up to the woodlot and do the oil change on the excavator drive motors. When we dropped off the pickup for service, the Kubota dealer is right next door, I picked up the last filter in the set that was out of stock. Tiny little thing, about the size of two small rolls of electrical tape stacked together. Parts guy joked that it was $300, I said if it is that much, I’ll punch holes in a medicine bottle and stick a sock over it —- he laughed and said “I would, too!”

$39 for the filter, it is the hydraulic tank breather filter. I don’t need it for quite some time, but I would rather have it on the shelf gathering dust than have it unavailable (or 3X the price!) when inDO finally need it! It’s not like it’s a PF25 for a SBC, after all…

For anyone interested in lock security, i recommend going to YouTube and checking out LockPockingLawyer, LockNoob, and McNallyOfficial channels. You will never look at security devices the same way again…

Currently 57 going to a beautiful sunny 82.
Clouds finally parted long enough that I got the deck repair finished! All that's left is some paint and landscape work that she will do herself.

A local resident had a large apple tree branch fall and offered it up on facebook to anyone that wanted it. I ran down and grabbed 12 good sized pieces. As a thank you I turned two bowls out of the driest chunks and will give them to him as thanks.

I also played with some more of the walnut I got a few weeks ago. (all this rain has me indoors so might as well stay busy)

Health wise no changes! Happy with that!
Need to get out and see if I can mow the to damp ground. Maybe let it dry today and head out tomorrow.
No more big projects on the agenda till fall!

Cleaned up fallen branches after cutting them up with the Makita. Restored the camp fire pit back to lawn.

Going to the PO this morning. More limping around to save on the knee. Have a specialist Dr appointment set up for next week. May cancel if improvements continue
Will do work out for upper body this morning as well as sit ups and back exercises.

LS congrats on the GS. Quite an accomplishment, First in State!! You are right to be proud as well as his parents

Drew, glad you had help fixing up the RV. Had an MRI a few years ago that was very confining as well

Russia meanwhile continues to regularly bombard Ukraine. A Russian missile hit a central square
in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv Saturday, killing seven people and injuring more than 100 others.

Every time I read this I think of London during WWII. Never knowing where and when a bomb will land.
The psychological impact of this is hard to imagine, particularly for children.

one of Ukraine's drones crashed through the glass ceiling of a major Russian train station, very much their home turf, and
showered glass down on a lot of folks. Sends quite a message, the other way.

it's quite a moral issue when shooting off a missile almost blindly and not caring if it hits an apartment building, when is that
collateral damage and when is that a war crime? Terrible things are done during wars. That sure hasn't changed.

I wonder if every gen thinks these are strange times.
we can only focus on the good and leave the rest behind
And be thankful most of us live in safe and beautiful settings in a free country.

Frits, are you icing that knee? should you be staying off it?
so many folks I know are getting new knees.
my brother and BIL both got new knees.
And they are doing fine. I guess that's why folks do this...
with arthritis everywhere else, kinda surprised that hasn't been a problem for me. yet.
