Sounds like you might be leaning toward retirement, at least from commercial aviation, Paul. Would that be so bad? Too much regulation has ruined many a career.

I feel that way sometimes, but I still like what I do most of the time. I’m a victim of my own success with the regulatory stuff. I can get through it reasonably well, being able to push bureaucrats back into line without alienating them.
So I have a hard time delegating those tasks.

But yes, it’s the one part of what I do that don’t enjoy, and I’m in the middle of a project that is pretty intense, involving multiple federal agencies.
Hopefully a big piece of that will wrap up today and I can go back into coast mode soon.

Drew - Have you thought of "prop guards" for your drone?
I've about 1/8 acre of clear landing area in my property. Run all the time with prop guards on my mini. Have "tangled" it up many times looking closely at stuff, always came out fine.
The prop guards for the mini mavic put it over the weight limit for non registered. Course they would have to catch you.

Good morning
75 with a high in the 80’s today.

Yesterday, got a few things taken care of before going on an adventure with the FAA.
Weather in the Carolinas and FL was “interesting” and there was a planned rocket launch that closed a batch of airspace, limiting route deviation options.
But got it done and was back in Allentown by “only” 11:30.
One short trip with them today, and this will be in the rear view.
Drew’s projects have been a casualty of this as well as my own, as I haven’t been able to find time for him either.

Hopefully, I’ll be done and home in time to spend some quality time with my grandson in the tractor. The grass is getting pretty tall out there.
Not much else to report other than next week should be all mine.

77° now
Wife woke me up and we hiked the local trail again. 2 loops with no side trails was 2.4 miles in 43 minutes.
2nd lap the train came out on the bridge at the far end. When we were leaving train was blocking the road in town, the only crossing. They then backed it up.
Had a hummingbird show up at the feeder we finally put out.
Will probably mow later.
Class went well last night.
Deer enjoying the lot
We have 2 hummingbirds now, one just chased the other.

Not likely they would catch you unless there was a significant incident requiring investigation in which case being over-weight would not be your biggest problem. I would run the guards to be safe

Good Morning - Clear and 104-105º predicted again today. Sheesh that's hot! Last evening as it was cooling off (95º) I cut up a few pallets and tossed them in the dumpster. Then I mowed and trimmed the lawn and walkway. Looking good this AM. Rain forecasted for the weekend - whoohoo. Last good rain was in May

Good morning! 87f and 80% humidity, so it's warm. Cleaned up the shop yesterday and hopefully will be pulling the truck in tonight. Still have 8 bales of hay in the truck's bay. I think i need a hay shed so I'm not just moving hay around. My wife isn't convinced i need to spend money.

Jumped to 81°
Might hop on mower and start in field where it should be dryer from the dew. Still wet in shade.
Just gave the Honda hood a scrub. Not sure if I should have used the dobie pads though.

Morning all, 78 going to 86 and sunny.
Concert postponed as Springsteen is sick so son is upset, hopefully it will be rescheduled soon as this was part of his birthday (September) present .

Sodamo- even better than the reduction in maintenance is the ability to swim without your eyes burning. The self draining means you would need to check salt and stabilizer more often though.

That is some trail TXDon, can see it was done with pride

Got the autofill filltrol for the boiler, so that is on the list for this weekend.

Need to get sheet rock and furring strips for garage so we can order the mini-split.

Was talking to another TBN member who used to live around here. Most of his relatives have sold off, but I know all the places and learned some new stuff about the neighborhood I live in.

Went to dinner last night since the concert was postponed. Met one of my kids friends mom and her group who were there for drinks.

Be well,

Good morning! Low of 59°, heading up to 89°. The guessers are predicting a 60% chance of a t-storm. Saw some lightning last night, storm never reached us.....

The addition, as planned, is a "go". Now need to try to plan around any 'weather guesses'..... so far, I don't have any faith in their guesses....
Not going to cut a hole in the house if it's going to rain... wait---- does it rain here?

Today's agenda is to take a ride with the wifey and Max up to Santa Fe. The family has pitched in for our anniversary and and are getting us Meyers Lemon and Mexican Lime trees from a nursery there. We'll stop for lunch somewhere.....
I can't believe that it will be 40 years together this Saturday......

Need to finish watering 2 zones when we get back. Yesterday's irrigation schedule went ok, except for the one zone that I shut off the timer...... then forgot about switching zones. Flooded out 3 planters and some landscape beds into the driveway. Is that considered a "deep watering"?

Everyone have a great day!
