Good Morning
It’s 64 with a high of 70, thunderstorms almost a certainty from noon to three.
Yesterday got everything on the list checked off. Started off mowing with the Lazer until the dump truck arrived. It was a 6 wheel 33,000 lb gvw international. Grandson got to climb in and step on the brakes to hear the air, and of course, blow the air horn. We loaded it full of manure, took most of the bin, but not all.
Next was to take the loader off the tractor and connect the Progressive mower and get to work. We (grandson and I) got all the mowing done with the tractor, folded up the mower, and drove him home in the tractor. I went to a late lunch while he took a nap. I checked in with his mom when I got back, but he wasn’t up yet, so I mowed the runway on my own, did some string trimming around the barn, then blew off and parked the mower.
Got out the pressure washer and foam cannon, washed wife’s SUV, tractor and Lazer. It’s amazing how fast you can wash something with a long handled brush, foam cannon and pressure washer. We have pretty hard water, so I use the Stihl hand blower to blow them dry to avoid water spots. A friend came by that is a car detailing expert, and polished the cloudy headlight on the transit connect. It took him less than a half hour and looks as good as the new one on the other side. Got everything put away just in time for the airport authority meetings, I did them by zoom, so I didn’t have to drive to the airport, that let me squeeze dinner. In between meetings.
This morning, wife and I are going out to breakfast for our 49th anniversary. Not too much else planned, but the day is hers.
