I have a Massey 1526. When I lower the Fel to the float position it sticks and I have to pull quite hard to get it back to neutral position. Any ideas what could be wrong?

The detent and spring assembly under the spool end cap is either dry or has rust hanging up the steel balls. Taking it apart is not difficult, but you can lose the balls very easily even when you know they may fall out.
