Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #170,381
67F and partly cloudy @ 22:00, heading down to around 58F for the overnight low.

Rain showers moving in overnight, line currently runs from up in Ontario across the western end of Lake Erie and northwest Ohio into Indiana.

Refilled mealworm feeder with 20 worms first thing. Did not get hopper feeder refilled ... :(

Woman ran out this afternoon to do some grocery shopping with one of Her girlfriends.

After filling the mealworm feeder I took the Cub around back and gathered more weeds She had pulled this morning and took them up to the compost pile.

While I was doing that I finished filling up the Water Buffalo.

Then took Kubota and chain saw over to the east side woods and cleared a downed ash and maple off the trail along the property line. Hopefully the local Junior Woodchucks will notice that it's been clear and will reroute their traffic up the path and away from the barn.

Following that I worked on screening more compost.

Woman returned while I was doing that and came up on the Cub, gave Her the bow rake (that I forgot yesterday) and the chain saw to take back down to the house.

Got quite a bit of compost screened, might be biggest pile ever.

After a while I knocked off on that as She was going to broil up some Hebrew Nationals. Evidently found a great deal on them while She was out, about 50% off normal prices. She also made Her Mac salad ... (y)

While I was waiting for dinner to be ready I got two cups of Espoma Soil Acidifier worked into the soil around the largest old blueberry bush, one to go.

After dinner I headed back up to screen some more soil.

Got the soil screener moved so it will be in the shade for this coming week since it's supposed to warm up (70's/80's)

Agenda for the rest of the evening:

1. Head up to the shop and see if I have any pipe/tube to retrofit a longer/bigger nozzle on the weed burner to use for punching holes in the woven weed block fabric.

2. Pot up the 20 All-Star Everbearing Strawberry plants.

Some pics of recent blooms:

Clearly I need to have a word with with the weeding crew ... ;)

Hope everyone had a great Friday ... (y)

Pour a cup of warm coffee. 48° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 62° with a mix of sun and clouds. Got 1/2" badly needed rain overnight. Did take long to find something to do. Bule Heron showed up at Garden Pond. Have not had one for several years. Very persistent. Put out normal protection. Still came back. Now have wire crossing from one side of pond to other side. Will see if it works. Looks like fish count is now down to 9 from 11. Did get rake off tractor and put away in barn. Got invited to go to ice-cream shop. Never pass up that kind of invite. Strawberry sundae tasted very good.
Today I will be keeping a eye on Garden Pond and for Heron coming back. Will also be helping neighbor take down a over grown pine tree next to their house.
Unwelcomed visitor at Garden Pond.

Good morning! 68˚F heading to 78˚ North wind partly cloudy. Hail last night but no rain.
The pic is of my Mom's hay field being mowed yesterday with this incredibly fast hay cutter - 20 acres in less than an hour.
Got moms mailbox relocated and her new pink (her favorite color) coffee machine set up. She really like the Tuna/no Tuna sandwiches with chickpeas and seaweed we made her for lunch and she made sure the leftovers stayed there. Delivered her some potatoes of course and had a good visit. The fields, hay and corn, look very good with the Spring rain coming just at the right times.

Kilroy- 5 hours seat time would be a good day for me, and time to consider other projects like a nap and/or "HH" or even both. Thanks for sharing
Most I have done yet, but I had to get it looking somewhat decent or else Mrs would have been quite displeased. Plus, it is going to be a rainy day today so I had to maximize the spectacular day we had yesterday!

Kilroy, I could really make use of a mini excavator at my lot.
Nice work.
It is quite the handy tool, lemme tell ya!

it does get takin used to - I still have to think all my movements through consciously/deliberately, but I am getting more cognizant of parameters and capabilities. Only 33 hours to go before changing the drive motor oil!

Good morning, 53 going to 77 today.

Kilroy good job on the gravel. I am sure you are learning how to operate the mini and getting proficient at it. I like the 36 inch no teeth bucket for gravel to level and scrape.Good you are keeping an eye on service requirements.

Back to mowing more tree areas today. Did get a good size area mowed yesterday and fortunately did not hit any "new" rocks so blades are good and sharp.

Also continue the oil changes on the RTV for trans and hydraulic oil tank and filters

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

60.2F, going to upper 70s, supposed to rain this afternoon.

Martina McBride concert was great!

I really needed another yard or so of gravel... I need to see if I can find one of those heavy cube sacks that they transport bulk material in, so I can get a load of gravel that way…

Relatives are coming to visit for a few days, so work activities will be curtailed, other than minor jobs. Today I need to remove a couple mountain laurel and plant a fig tree - I forgot to bring the broad fork from the woodlot. Maybe we will go up early today and I can try to pull a stump or to, maybe try pushing over a tree or two. And maybe remember to bring home the broad fork?

i hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

I will likely be getting more buckets over the coming months, but I figured let me just start with the one and keep it simple and consistent. I am FAAAAAAR from anything even resembling proficiency! But I have avoided and major impacts or tipping events 😎👍

Kilroy if you have a lot 20 feet by 25 feet equals 500 square feet divided by nine equals 55.5 round up 56 sq yds. For 4 inches compacted stone multiply 400 times 56 equals 22400 pounds divided by 2000 you get 11.2 tons round up 12 tons should do the job. Variations can occur for sandstone base vs granite. If granite add 10 percent to 12 ton number

59.9 this morning high in 70s rain and showers later. Nice work BEF lot looks good.

Cyst gone mostly sugar level running way too high 350 antibiotics really screwed me up working hard to get back down wears me out this roller coaster ride of up and down

m7040 and Jay prayers for wives and you all dedicated people you are

Kyle the ideals and what we were left with in this world our generation were not good stewarts at all. In my opinion instead of saving the world we really screwed it up.

Don nice things you are doing for your mom

Prayers for all silent or spoken our Country
