Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #169,911
planned my whole day around Verizon showing up this afternoon.
Young guy shows up, tells me it will be easy, but they have to run their own line in, fiber optics.
Then he asked me about my home phone number, was it ok if it didn't turn on until Monday?
uh, you mean I'm disconnected until then?
yes
why?
the folks we work through go home on noon on Saturday.
why did you schedule for this time?
I don't know.
see you Tuesday.
Thanks
sigh

Morning all, 76 and according to weatherunderground a high of 75?? Rain in the forecast.
Got the blowers out to clean up the driveway and front steps and worked more on the pool. Almost ready, just need some more salt (!) and a few other chemicals.

Sodamo- sorry about your flail issues, painful when you depend on things to work.

KC - loud boom and house shake for us is just another Ash falling in the forest. I still go out and look, but most are deep in the woods now, find them on my maintenance hikes. I call them toothpicks, sticking up about 20 feet.

Drew - make sire you can connect TV etc. before verizon guy leaves. Be careful using two chargers for one unit, not balanced could lead to problems.

Spike56 - place I worked at in the 80's was working on starwars laser. Looks like they are still working on parts of that. Gotta be spending big $.

Gotta get stuff done, sons new GF is showing up and her dad wants to check us out. SO there is good parenting going around.

Be well,

Guess this is a comment on my BBQ skills?

Can't see a lot of pictures including ones from PopGadget. Will try again tonight.
Turns out it was a microburst cell about three miles away - one thunder peal, three minutes of localized downpour, and gone.

68F, cloudy with some light rain @ 13:00, heading up to around 75F for the high.

Got a couple more blueberry plants and rhubarb roots plus a few other items ordered night before last.

Ran down to the Autozone yesterday afternoon and picked up correct rear brake pads which had come in.

Came back and got those installed, after cleaning up calipers and lubing up their bolts real good.

Wheels reinstalled and bolts torqued to 177 ft lbs ... just as it was starting to sprinkle.

Put Cub away over in barn.

Took van a for test drive ... have nice quiet braking and good pedal now.

Stopped and collected mail on way back in, then stopped to check mealworm feeder ... mealworms a little more than half gone ... (y)

Probably should recheck that today, given the weather.

Have appointment later to get a couple new tires installed on van.

After that maybe see if I can get the welding finished up on the grapple.

Hope everyone had a Good Friday ... and is having a Good Saturday ... (y)
Did you change the rotors also. The last rotors on the rear had to use a sledge to force them off the axels

Two hundred dollars of filters do not look like much. The thread gizmos come in pretty handy when not sure about sizes and what to do about air tools. And old air tools can't make myself get rid of them.
Enerpac tools are quality tools that can be rebuilt. This pump is 50 years old and rebuilt works perfectly

Can't make myself get rid of them.

If you run across Enerpac pumps, jacks etc they are quality tools. R

What did you build?
I built this. It was a kit. By the time I was done I had all kinds of upgrades and stuff hanging off it and still could carry ~ + 5#'s with 9.5" props for about 5 minutes. With the 9.5" props it measured 32" prop tip to prop tip

Almost bought myself a set of those thread gizmos. Almost.
Did order 1/2” torque wrench.

Up to .4” rain, we needed it. Still coming down.

I didn't do any tin work today, but I did cut back the wild choke cherry trees that the tent caterpillars like to nest in and cleaned up that side right down to the peat moss that grows naturally in the back 40.
Also cut the grass front and north side. West side is too wet and too short on the hill. I got stuck, too. Thanks to the Kioti I got out.
Maybe tin work tomorrow.

Afternoon All!
69 going to a sunny 75!
Neck is doing better after 13 days of taking it easy and meds! Managed to get the mower running for the season and cut the weeds! Hung around in the wood shop and finished a Sycamore bowl I've been working on.
Heading out to a birthday party for one of my numerous great nieces. Sometimes having 8 siblings with all their offspring is a challenge. I'm in charge of picking up two sheet pizzas.
That's all for now.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
