Good morning!!!!

Good (Good Friday) morning. The overnight Low was 12C and it's presently 15.4C (possibly going up to 20C). Heavy rain so far, starting at 0230 plus a thunderstorm that lasted well into 0630. I haven't checked the gauge yet but the Aerodrome recorded 27.2mm at 0730.

Update: There was 59.5mm in my gauge at 0830 and another thundery deluge whilst I was at Church.

The Bureau of Meteorology actually predicted all of this... and at the times too. It's supposed to rain all day.

In anticipation of the weather being like this, I did get Paddock #2 chain-harrowed & mulched. I noticed the Mad Horse Woman trying to hand fork turn a couple of very mouldy old rounds of hay which were rotting in 'her' paddock. I told her not to bother as I've got a landscape rake that'll do that quick-smart = more tractor fun.

Maundy service last evening and I'm up early today to head off soon to Church for the Good Friday service. The rest of this very wet day will be His.

That's about it, take care all.

Got the flashing installed under lower edge of the PV panels. Came out pretty decent, but my hands and fingers are paying the price with cramping. Only about 50+ screws, but overhead of course.

Still need to locate my pneumatic snips as I don’t really want to trim 2 inches width total length with hand shears.

NTA: found my snips, right where they were supposed to be. Got 2 10 foot lengths trimmed but raining, so won’t get to fit until tomorrow.

Fortunately, meeting some friends for pizza in an hour.

@mostly_gas, offset in a motorcycle wheel is similar to a bicycle. In this case it was a front wheel with a drum brake. The brake extends to the right, did the offset from the opposite side. Had to calculate the offset since the original wheel was a steel rim, used a flange alloy for replacement.
I remember back in the '70's when the bicycle mfg went to China. They said a Chinese lady could lace and true a bicycle rim in 8-12 minutes.
Went ahead and ordered a bit of fuel oil for the house and tractors for the start of the year,
$4.15 per gallon, just getting 500 gallons for now we shall see how the price goes this summer.
May end up moving some young stock today my nephew called a bit ago, so depending on how the weather
is cooperating once they finish feeding may head over to the farm with the SxS for that job.
Gas went from $2.79 to $3.19 overnight here. I would post facts about why, but I don't want my post deleted.

Gravel delivered on time! ---- that's actually pretty amazing. They are usually pretty late, especially in the afternoon.
Tractor time tomorrow!

Looks like I should have enough to finish the turnaround area. Probably in the fall I'll get 50-60 tons of crusher fines to spread over the top of the whole driveway. That will lock it down like concrete.
I'm peeping that gravel. I need some and am worried about the cost per load.
Kyle I think your son deserves some new PF flyers.
I was very young, maybe 5 or 6, but I remember having a pair of white PF flyers, and I confess, I went outside to see how high I could jump! I know all of you did it too! Fess up!

4.19" of rain here in the last day and a half. That equals roughly what has fallen since Jan 1.

MIL had a very large post oak fall over with the wet ground and some blustery winds. It snagged some phone lines and internet lines on the way down, which kept it from totally smashing her SUV. It did dent the roof in about 3" in the middle. Her nephew was already chain sawing when I got back with my saws. Just as I was starting my saw, he cut a branch that fell and smashed her rear window. He was about to cut another branch that was holding onto the phone lines. I told him wait! We ended up clearing enough to allow her to drive out from under it. My son and wife were steady at it pulling branches off to the side. Nephew brought 2 Stihl chainsaws with him, but both had dull chains. I pulled out my old John Deere (Efco) CS 40, and the chain was sharp, it was going through the branches like butter. I could make about 6 cuts to his one. He finally put his down and helped clear branches for me. We still have a trunk about 30-36" in diameter by about 15 feet long to get rid of. It has some beautiful 2 tone wood, but not sure if post oak is good for anything other than bbq.

Drew question, If your tree falls on your vehicle, while the vehicle is parked on the public street, would it be home owners or auto insurance to cover it?

Special week for some of us. Prayers for our team.

Congrats RNG, did you get the hybrid? I'm wondering how the hybrid gets so much better mileage than the regular engine? Does it have that big of a battery to aid propulsion?

Poured first cup of coffee. 31° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 47° with lots of sun. Grocery shopping went well. Cleaned up shop. Ready for next project. While looking out kitchen window I noticed 2 Turkey Buzzards on far side of woods. I do not see them here very often. Took a picture. When I zoomed it in. Found that there is one less squirrel at the feeders.
Been thinking about modifying my utility tailer so I can tow my Mule. But weight is a concern for my SUV towing it. So today I will be going out and shopping for a 6'X10' aluminum trailer. Aluminum will keep me very close to the 1.5K towing limit with Mule on it. That should fill up my day.
Yesterdays sunrise had lots of color.

Mostly, I blamed Sassy for getting me outdoors. Mother nature is what woke me up.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Good morning from East Central Texas. Cool start in the low 50's. FINALLY, accumulated some rainfall. About 4.6" yesterday and greater than 5" last (3) days. Once it turns warmer, should jump start the pasture and hay field grass.

The USAF operates 10-20 Lockheed Martin (skunk works) RQ-170 Sentinel (nicknamed Wraith) unmanned aerial vehicles. The "RQ" designation (R for reconnaissance Q for unmanned) does not carry weapons. First deployed in 2007 as an intelligence gathering / monitoring platform. Another member of the UAV fleet.

Wishing all a great Good Friday.
