Good morning,
56 going to 83 today. This is summer weather.

Got started on PT yesterday with light exercises for the shoulder.

Today there are no plans except see what I feel like doing

Morning all, 54 going to 65 and cloudy
Warm enough yesterday to be in a t-shirt planting radishes, taking down some of the bush wrap. Still need to do more cleanup out front and in big garden.

Son's forestry helmet arrived and I assembled it while sitting on back deck enjoying weather and watching new neighbors marking out their house in the field.

Daffodils finally up, about 2 weeks later than down the hill.

Some decided to migrate into our ornamental grass.

55 going up to 61 today in heavy clouds, misting and grey out now

was off early to local hospital to get lab work done, have primary and endocrinologist appts in a few weeks.
They both ordered almost the same thing, including AIC.
If I get there around 7am, in and out in 15 minutes.
now enjoying first cup of coffee and breakfast.

Ken, good reminder for me to get radishes.

lot of household work to do this morning. Then a quiet afternoon and a school board meeting, in person this time, at 6pm.

Happy Anniversary to BEF and Wifey! Glad you got a good steak. Meat is too high. Hope for another blessed year around the sun.

My son WON! He's the district champion. He faced off against some competitors that he hasn't raced against, and was a bit nervous. While out front on the last straight, he looked back twice. He got told by the coach not to look back. He did knock another bit off of his personal best though. He was one of the few kids on his team that got a first place.

53 outside now, and going to hover around that all day. Foggy this morning, supposed to see some sun this afternoon.

Yesterday was a busy and productive day. Started with a nice breakfast with the professor, then a few inside tasks before starting outside. Got pretty much all the sticks above my threshold (what I’m comfortable running over with a mower) picked up with my grandson’s help. We dumped two CarryAll loads. Had one tree with a batch of broken, dead limbs that we attacked with pole and chainsaws.

I really like the Makita cordless tools for these sort of tasks.

Got the hole drilled for the gate post and the post set and leveled.

Zoe helped clean off the auger.

Need to tidy up and expand my attachment storage area, I really should build shed over it.

I had lent my pole saw to a friend, and he told me that the chain adjuster pin that engages the bar broke, so I had to fix that before I started. I put the piece in the milling vice and centered up on it with a coaxial indicator and drilled the broken piece with a center drill.

Then drilled it to the OD of the new pin.

Turned a new pin and brazed it into place, good as new now.

Got everything cleaned up and put away by dinner time, Zoe got to race around outside and greet people, by all measures, a good day.

was about to order some more radishes when a little memory, way hidden, tells me I might have some left over from last year in the garage.

The culvert under the road is filling up and needs clean out. Pulling a tire though is not going to do it. How to do it?

Also the flowers are likely at the peak with fewer left to go in bloom

Good morning! 70° now, high of maybe 82°. Another strong chance of storms this afternoon/evening with high winds again.

Cleaned up a tree that came down yesterday. Part of it ended up in the road. Likely damaged in one of the recent high wind events. Came up by the root ball. Sectioned it and drug it up into the yard with the little NH. Even got the root ball sorta back into place to fill the hole.

Have no pre-mix left, so need to get some ethanol free today to make a batch. So a run to Scheetz.

@mostly_gas, offset in a motorcycle wheel is similar to a bicycle. In this case it was a front wheel with a drum brake. The brake extends to the right, did the offset from the opposite side. Had to calculate the offset since the original wheel was a steel rim, used a flange alloy for replacement.

Better get moving.
