I have a Kioti NX 4510. It has 300 hours. I was plowing snow An it went in to a regen the engine rpm’s went up and the motor was pouring out white smoke this was the first time it went in the a regen. The motor ran for about 4 minutes then died. It will not start again.. I did get a P008 code and I believe the is the sensor on the fuel filter. But I am not sure that would keep it from starting I have ordered a new sensor and filter. Any thoughts on this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check out this post! Good luck.
  • P0008 is the result of a test run by the engine control module to check for misalignment between the camshafts in engine bank one and the crankshaft. The misalignment for this code would be at an idler sprocket in the bank or at the crankshaft. The test checks the positions of the camshafts and compares them against a reference value.
  • I found it on this website maybe under Kioti!

That would make sense since there is an occasional pop like it wants to start. I will look further in to this Thank you

Not sure if I am reading that right, you said that it has 300 hours and this is the first regen? My DK4510SE runs about 40 hours to a regen.

I have a manual for the NX, and don't have a P008 code in it. There's a P0088 and P0089 in there referring to fuel rail overpressure. There is a thread 'understanding error 008' on this site. And my 2016 NX4510 cab regens approx every 30 hours.

sorry, was looking at service manual. Owners manual has P008 as no signal from fuel filter water sensor.

Yes it’s the first regen normally I use it in short periods like feeding the cows or something. Not this year we had heavy snow and it not 3 hours plus periods. I am not looking forward to taking in to a dealership. The dealer that I bought it from was good but the owner retired and sold and the new dealer doesn’t do Kioti.

Welcome to the club. There are several unfortunate members. My 2019 Kioti dk5510 had its first parked regen at 348 hrs. Regen failed and limp mode began. The tractor has been in the shop repeatedly for this issue. Unable to resolve it, much less figure it out. At 460 hours my tractor is useless. Now looking for something without a dpf. I hope you have better luck. Kioti technicians in this area are not up to speed on tier 4.

Was your engine at operating temperature when it went into regen?

Still curious about these "First Regens" at such high hours. Mine regenerates every ~40 hours. So far all have been auto initiated during use. A slight change in engine note, a little odor, which causes me to look at dash and say, "Oh, it's doing a regen". It has gotten to where I can almost anticipate an auto-regen based on hours since I use my tractor mostly for mowing the field.

Have either of you ever had your "light" come on and "hit a button"? You may have cancelled the auto-regen. The only reason I would see to do a "parked" regen under normal circumstances is if the light came on (regen started) as I was finished with what I was doing. I would then either find something else to do with it for the 10 - 20 minutes or just find a place to park it and kick up the RPMs until it was done. Two years and > 250 hours I have had absolutely no issues with my DK4510.
