I have 205 hours on my l3901 and 3 regen cycles work it harder than you are and it will stay clean longer
I wish people would stop saying that cause I think its BS.The issue with that is, once you do that, it's yours forever.
Ignore it Scootr. It was a reasonable and intelligent question. Some people are just that way.I really don't understand your attitude. It's a question.
Obviously you have nothing to add. Ignored.
It is true if you ever want to trade to a dealership.I wish people would stop saying that cause I think its BS.
If so many people brag about not having the regen system. why wouldn't somebody touch a tractor with the stuff removed? I bet there's a lot of good ole boys around here that would buy it and not think twice about it, same thing with the good ole boy shops around here working on it.
I have 65 hours on my newer MX and have yet to experience a regen. My dealer tells me that I must be running the RPMs right. My first and only regen on my L3901 was at about 20 hrs. I had been running it like I had my old tractor (just added RPMS for the job at hand). I talked the regen over with my salesman and he said I should change my habits as far as the RPMS I was running. Since then after warmup I run the engine to at least 2k RPM or higher. I now have just over 51hrs, without a regen since the one @ 20hrs.

On a Branson, there is a muffler you can put right in its place. If you want to sell the tractor, just bolt up the DPFIt is true if you ever want to trade to a dealership.
Personally I prefer the DPF because I like not sucking smoke and getting sinus headaches. On a Branson, there is a muffler you can put right in its place. If you want to sell the tractor, just bolt up the DPF
your question was somewhat answered. Have someone read my answer to ya BH !I really don't understand your attitude. It's a question.

I'm 33 hours into ownership of the 2018 MX5200 Kubota. She called for 15-20 minutes of 2200 rpms and spewed out a big ole cloud of crap
While I was waiting - I googled how often should the tractor call for regen. And I read every 15-20 hours depending...I was about 30 hours past my last regen.
Question is how often does your tractor regen and what rpm do you run at. I usually run at 1500 rpms because that's all that is needed for the light work I've been doing. BUt I read i'm supposed to be running higher rpms - seems wasteful of fuel and motor service life. What say you TBN ?
Being that it "spewed out a big ole cloud of crap" at 33 hours means one thing...time to start working it. You will get more work done, it will run cleaner, and will run cooler without a plugged up DPF. Unless I'm entering/exiting the shed, I'm at 1800+ or at pto speed for work.I'm 33 hours into ownership of the 2018 MX5200 Kubota. I see now. I came from a long line of shuttle shift tractors. This is my first HST tractor . I set the rpms higher 1600 ish and selected a lower gear (range). Tractor worked good like that but I suspect fuel consumption will go up -Being that it "spewed out a big ole cloud of crap" at 33 hours means one thing...time to start working it.
