Morning all!
48 here with temps falling all day down into the high 30's. Cloudy damp day with the remnants of the hurricane passing overhead. Has been a fantastic week weather wise with temps way up for this time of year! I need to pull out the yard vac and blower one more time to get the last of the falling oak leaves.
We finally have snow in the forecast for Wednesday. Everything is ready here.
Taking it easy today after 2 days working at my sister's house doing a bathroom freshening up. I might have 3 of my 5 sisters showing up for a visit today! Hopefully that will happen.
Still hard to fathom Roy not posting anymore! I always compared his weather and mine in the mornings! Our weather was always close to the same.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

good morning all
light rain ending soon, then dry colder weather comes in, in fact the deep freeze starts soon.
Likely the same cold folks in MidWest have now working its way here.

Paul, if you lost a friend, very sorry. Clearly doing what he loved.
Hope you all have a peaceful Sunday.

5 sisters Phil, wonderful. Enjoy the get together.

Good morning, low temp 23 and the high to 27°F. Wind NNW 8 mph. 70% chance of flurries.

We got 1/4" of snow on the deck this morning, nothing stayed on the ground, it isn't frozen yet.

My neighbour got a new well top this past summer, for some odd reason her old one wasn't any good. I think she got snowed and suckered into buying a new one.
She wants to use the old one as a base for her name and address on a post at the end of her driveway. I am going to move it today with the tractor and a pair of chains.

The heater switch on the Kioti is a rotary switch with the center being off. on-off-on. I think I can get one of them at Canadian Tire IF I absolutely need one. We will see.

I have to drive a post (steel) into the ground today as well. A 2x4 across the top and junior can smack it with the sledge hammer, if that doesn't work then the loader bucket will drive it.

Have a safe day all

Good morning, colder at 38 going to 46 and more cold weather is on the way this week.

The B17 crash is horrible. Prayers to the families. Seems like these accidents at airshows are too risky due to multiple planes in the air at the same time.

Changed the oil and filter on the Sprinter yesterday. Also changed the fuel filter. The mass airflow shows as an engine code after mounting back the air filter assembly. Happened before and usually goes away after a few cycles.
May change the transmission oil today. Changing the oil in the pan more often can avoid or delay a full transmission change with draining the torque converter which is more involved. Air filter is due to be changed as well and will check today if I have one on hand.

do any of you own a Tesla?
Is your insurance much more expensive than your other cars?
I found this interesting, read in a discussion about cost to insure the Tesla p/u truck which is made of natural stainless steel
like the Delorean was. Of course the truck is still vaporware at this point.

For 2019, the Tesla vehicles national average annual auto insurance cost ranged from $2,400 to $3,300

I pay 1300 bucks to fully insure a Volvo, with a 1000 deductible on physical damage.
I thought I was way overpaying. I still remember when full coverage was 5-700 dollars a car.

The more complicated the safety systems are in cars, the more expensive they are to repair in accidents.
So my very safe Volvo is likely more expensive to insure but I see that as a fair tradeoff for safety.
Volvo's latest EV suv has all new LIDAR systems running off a roof camera, while Tesla is pulling lidar/radar out of its new cars
I read. I'm guessing Teslas are more expensive than average to fix.

If you think of the newer MB's big round emblem in the middle of the grill, the one with all the radar sensors behind it, something simple like a bird hitting that
at speed, can't imagine what oem cost of that part would be. Lot of expensive stuff now in the very front of our cars.

Remember the Saturns with plastic door panels that were supposed to solve the age old parking lot ding problem?
Well those doors and panels became more expensive to replace than regular steel ones, and guess what, up went the insurance
costs for Saturns. I always liked their cars. They seemed honest in some ways. Maybe because they were sold for advertised price.

I'm still waiting for GM to put Supercruise in cheaper cars, ones I can afford. No Cadillac CT6, no Eldorado, maybe something smaller than a Tahoe.
It would make traveling easier for me, as I get older. And since I don't fly and Amtrak is unreliable, I can use all the help I can get while driving nine hours
to NC. At least my Volvo has good adaptive cruise. I keep the lane maintainer off. Yes, most of the time it works ok, but it adds a heaviness to the steering.
Reminds me very much like what steering wheel on my boat felt like when autopilot was turned on. A different feel, heavier.
I can predict the road and drive more smoothly than the system can, for sure on back roads. Thoroughly enjoy driving on back roads.

if any of you have supercruise in your GM car or truck, would love to hear about it.

I was thinking about Buckeye's long commute. How nice it would be for him to press a button when he left the house and then have car park
itself in company parking spot.

Mostly, I say wonky on PC only because I haven’t used TBN on computer in so long and am just used to the app.
