Looking at the lot situation, by their rules I can just rotate the house direction, so the “front” aims East or slightly NE, then I’ll build a side and back porch to sit on and get the view we want.
By their rules an accessory structure can’t sit in the “front yard” ie space between the front of the house and the road, so simply rotating the house will solve that.
Hopefully I can still bring driveway to come onto the side of the house, but it’s not much longer to come from the east side. Semantics.

Then the “side” of the property only has a 20 ft setback, so future barn can be closer to the road to the south.
If I wait till I’m living there, I can get a couple cows, build barn as agricultural building (no permits needed), then sell cows and use barn for my shop. Just gotta know the rules.

This Saturday had more visitors to the farm than last Saturday but I don't think twice as many, maybe a 1000 more. Again I was the only afternoon-night tractor driver and for about a dozen trailer rides I had to go to phase 2 and implement no round trips, everyone had to get off at each stop so the people waiting in line at the stop would not have to wait another 30 minutes before I came back around. I let them know before boarding so they were OK with it. Most of the rides were maxed out at 60 riders today except the last few rides. I am really surprised how nice everyone is. The giga keg was still not open and the drink of choice was a flavored crushed Ice drink (snow cone in a cup) on this upper 80s cloudless day.

My guess is your idea of getting baked and my definition of getting baked are quite different...

Good morning, low temp 42 and high to 50°F. Wind W 11 gusting to 17 mph. 30% chance of showers.

If the rain holds off today, then I may get the wood conveyor out and get it running. It looks like Monday or Tuesday will be good days to chuck in the wood.

My implements are all finished getting welded, just have to arrange for the truck and float to bring them back.
Local welders don't seem to want the small jobs, so I sent the work 5 hours (one way) away.

My 30% chance of showers just became 100%. It just started raining.

If I don't do anything outside, then I will jump down the you tube rabbit hole.

Roy, although I have booze in the house, I don't drink all that much. Way too many mornings of waking up sick and tired. That being said, I do smoke.:ROFLMAO:
Stay safe all

good morning all
BRRRRR, 37 out
no plans for today other than some foodshopping this morning. Not attending church. Very long, unhappy story, probably why my stomach is upset...
Started banging heads with guy who heads up house and grounds, who is doing a terrible job maintaining graveyard, and I called him on it. He got defensive and
it didn't improve. He doesn't own a lawn mower and likes the wild natural look. Fine, have your own place that way but keep our graveyard mowed, the fallen over headstones which our
mowers over time knocked over, pick them up, stop the desecration of the grave sites by groundhogs, cut down the dead trees, etc etc etc. The list is long and I just kept getting too upset going there and looking at it.

Just not on the same page at all. So I decided to attend another Quaker Meeting for awhile, four minutes from my house. I would like to be a mouse in the corner this morning during Meeting for Business at my Meeting where they talk about why folks aren't coming any more. And when the second longest attendee of the place stops coming, I believe they called the agenda
item "elephant in the room". Many people there seriously upset I'm not showing up. Truly a few bad apples are the problem, not the whole. I avoid confrontation, said my piece, multiple times, including in detailed writing, and now they either need to do something about it or I'll just attend the other church. Since my gravestone is at my Meeting, I quietly told them I would return when I was dead. Very upsetting to me, and yes, it involves a tractor. I gave the Meeting my beautiful Case IH 255 when I left for NC and through mismanagement, neglect, a $8K tractor became a non runner and was sold for 600 dollars while I was away. I had $10k of my own hard earned money in that tractor, and when I asked what happened, caretaker said "I don't remember all the details". Really?
Folks know more than they are fessing up to and lack of honesty was the last straw for me. I asked nicely, and was never answered. So I just went away and let them figure it out. Or not.
First visit to "new" Meeting I met lady I went to kindergarten with. So it felt a little like home. I want to go back to my Meeting but will not until the dysfunction is improved. And since I want to be a happy guy and not have an upset stomach, better that I do what produces peace and happiness.

It always hurts when some idjit carelessly destroys everything you worked very hard on building up.

there’s a metaphor in there somewhere. . .

Good morning everyone.

33° now, high’s in the upper 50’s with a bit of wind and plenty of sunshine today.

Knee has returned to what’s normal for me, only painful when I do something stupid lol.

Played pickup sticks this week along with mowing and trimming, maybe for the final time this season. The leaves are starting to turn and many are falling, not much color I think from drought stress this year.

Off to pickup some groceries this morning, funny when the temperature drops thoughts turn to soups, stews and other comfort foods!

Drew, I hope you can sort out your meeting “dilemma” like many it’s an important part of life.

No real plans for today except energy conservation and enjoying a nice Sunday dinner.

Prayers for those in need, our country and peace around the world.
