TYM TX 3500 Cannot switch between forward/Natural/Reverse

Hello All,
I have a TYM TX 3500 with 123 hours. I cannot switch out of "Forward" using the shuttle shift lever. The lever itself will not move at all. It is currently stuck in forward so I can go forward and shift gears 1-4 using the clutch. The clutch does work.
Any thoughts?

Um.....are you sure you don't have an actual TYM T353? The TX3500 is usually the loader number, not the tractor model?

You sir are correct. Sorry, it is a T353.

So I've been looking at this post. Tractor stuck in reverse, shuttle shift problem?
I'm thinking this may be my issue.
Would you know where the roll pin for the shuttle shift lever is located on the T353?

I'm checking the parts catalog and it shows that the Shuttle lever actuates a cable. So you may need to dig under the dash to check that out for any obvious issue.

I've been troubleshooting some and followed the shuttle shift cable down to the transmission body. See image.


I've detached the cable and the shift levere can move freely. So no issue with the cable.
However, the "shifter" lever on the transmission body will not move.

It appears to be something beyond the cable.

Iirc, the most likely reason for that problem, if I understand what you are saying correctly, is that the shifter is bound. If you can get it to roll slightly forward or back it should work.

It is currently stuck in "Forward" and I can drive the tractor. I just can't shift out of "Forward" into natural or reverse.

It's in "Forward" and can be driven forward. I cannot however shift out of drive.

Sometimes these shifting shafts that come out of the cases are prone to rusting up. Spray with a penetrating fluid and try to move the shaft.

Does it make sense to remove the screw and cover plate and check for rust?

I'm sure it is just a keeper that fits in a slot of the shaft. Removing it would greatly aid the spray getting in and would allow to to look for evidence of rust. I would be careful of the shaft moving in or out with the keeper removed though.
