Hello, I'm currently looking at buying a Mitsubishi mt1801. The dealer also has several yanmar's. f16, f18, f20 models. I've read a few posts about parts availability and have tried quick Google searches that haven't really given me an idea of how easy it is to get parts for either. Does anyone have any experience with these models and getting basic parts? Any websites you guys use for parts would be appreciated. And any guidance on which way to go with the above models would also be appreciated. Thank you

The answers to your question depend partly on your location.

What state are you in?

Sounds like you are just getting started, so do some research. I know nothing about the Mitsubishi. There is an active Yanmar group here on TBN. Just go down through FORUMS until you get to the vintage Yanmar.

My own preference is for for the YM series Yanmars rather than the F or FX series. The YMs are very simple basic tractors designed to be owner serviced and repaired. Parts are still pretty good; though not everything is avalable for them. A lot of YMs were sold in the US by Yanmar dealers in the 1970s and 1980s, so it is still possible to find a decent older YM series tractor from a private seller.

"Fredericks" is a respected importer and refurbisher of older tractors.
